Hand-Delivered-1---Close-Up

G’Day Stampers,

Today I am sharing with you one of the cards we created in our colouring class in June.  Yes, I am a little behind in sharing with you but hopefully we can catch up.

We played with the Stampin’ Blends of Pumpkin Pie & Hand-Delivered-1---InsidePink Pirouette (retired) but one which everyone has.   We used the gorgeous Host Set Stamp Set –  Hand Delivered which has a lot of potential.  In our class we got to colour our balloons 2 different ways.

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to download your free tutorial to create your own card.  The tutorial includes a list of supplies & measurements (metric & imperial).

Hang in There

I’ve had a bit of a play with one of the 2016 SAB sets – “Honeycomb Happiness“.  This is 002ewm-blogsuch a cute little set with lots of possibilities.

I did start to case a card from the current Catalogue, but it sort of went off on its own, although I am happy with it.

I wanted my chick to look like it was poking it’s head out from behind a hole in the wall which is why I embossed the card with the Brick EF & added a circle around the chick.

I’ve used my Blender Pens to colour the Chick & Balloon Images.  I also applied Clear Wink of Stella, although you can’t see it in the photo.  It is very hard to capture a good photo of the lovely soft shimmer & sparkle it adds to your cards.

Card in a Box

A couple of weeks ago I had a request to create a card for someone who was in hospital.  Janet especially asked for the type I012wm-blog had given her for her birthday.  Mind you, I had to put my thinking cap on as to what one she was talking about.

After talking for a few minutes, I was told the lady loved singing, was a member of a local Musical Group, had written about 60 songs & could paly a couple of instruments.  After hearing how talented this lady was, it could only be one type of card.  One with lots of music notes, etc  & somehow include flowers.

Not only had it to be a Card in a Box, but big enough for about 20 people to sign, so I sat myself down & played around until I was happy with a template that fitted into an A4 Envelope (Aus).  There are heaps of tutorials on how to create these cards, but none the size I wanted.

For the back, I adhered a Treble Clef to a piece of Whisper White Card – enough room for everyone to sign or write a small message.

For the notes, I printed them direct onto Whisper White Card & fussy cut them 001a-wm-bloguntil I thought I had enough.  My piano keys were created by drawing lines with the Basic Black Marker, punched so many pieces of Basic Black Card using the Word Window Punch, cut off the tops & adhered to the Whisper White Card.  Not being  musical person, I had to actually check out the layout of a piano prior to adhering my keys (I did learn the piano when a kid, would you believe).

After adhering all my notes & flowers I decided it looked a little funny so I took the flowers down & cut some grass from Old Olive Card using the Fringe Scissors.  I then repositioned the flowers along the top of the piano & a couple throughout.  Much better!  The flowers 011wm-blogwere cut from Real Red & Daffodil Delight Card by running through the Big Shot using the Blossom Party Originals Die (Retired).

On the back of the card I typed “Wishing you a Speedy Recovery” & left it blank so that there would be more room for messages & signing.

I’m really happy with the card, especially the pops of Red & yellow.  Janet said the Music Group couldn’t believe it when they saw it – they loved it!  I only hope the lady that received it loved it too.

Would love to know what you think?

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Feel Better Soon…

Today’s card is one we will be creating in my Volunteer Class this afternoon.

As with most of Friday’s card, it has been CASEd (Copied & Shared Everything) from Pinterest.  L.O.V.E this site!  Thanks Vicki for your inspiration!

It does use one of my favourite retired stamp sets, but that is the beauty about my Volunteer Class – I get to play with some of my retired products again.  The card can easily be recreated with current products.
