Feature of the Week – Simply Marbleous DSP #1

G’Day Friends,

I do hope you have all had a great weekend.  If you are anywhere near the waters, please take care.

Thank you to everyone who reached out asking if I was ok & yes all is good as we have not been affected.

I have been playing with the lovely Simply Marbleous DSP from Sale-a-Bration of late & am loving the colours & patterns although I seem to be gearing towards the one side in particular.

This Paper is Level 1 which you can earn for FREE when spending $90!

Not only will I be showcasing the papers, but I will also be showcasing the ever so versatile Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set – perfect for all occasions especially Manly Monday!

First up I had to decide what colours I could use with the Smokey Slate sheet of Paper so I opted for Daffodil Delight, Garden Green with Basic White tossed in too.  Way out of my comfort zone but hey it is always good to try new combinations.

The DSP was randomly chopped into 3 pieces before adhering to a piece of Garden Green Cardstock ensuring that the patterns match in & leaving a small amount of Garden Green around all sides.  This layer was then adhered to a Smokey Slate Base Card.

I stamped a sentiment from Inspired Thoughts onto scrap Basic White with Smokey Slate Ink prior to die cutting with the Messages Dies & adhering to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped an image from Enjoy the Moment Stamp Set in Daffodil Delight Ink prior to fussy cutting, trimming part of the stem a little & adhering to the top of the sentiment shape with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

To finish the card, I grabbed a couple of the new Classic Matte Dots which are available in the new Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue & adhered these to the front.  I think they finished the card off perfectly.

I wasn’t too sure how this colour combination would work but I have to admit I think they work in well together, don’t you?

Enjoy Every Moment

G’Day Friends,

Today I am sharing something a little different in that it is one of our creations from our Technique Class last month.

I love my techniques & enjoy playing & creating.  Mind you, sometimes I’m not sure where they are heading until I’m finished.  In saying that, not all of them are perfect, but the best part is the fun!

We played with our lovely Blending Brushes, using them 4 different ways including Basic Blending, Colour Blocking Sun Rays & Northern Lights.

I’m sharing with you one of the Basic Blending card we created with the lovely Polished Pink In Colour, which was teamed up with the Enjoy the Moment Stamp Set.  In fact the image has been stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink & finished off with a couple of Polished Pink Jewels & a bow which was tied with White Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack.

Sometimes the simple & easy techniques are the ones that give a wow.  Do you agree?

Pretty Peacock Day #3

G’Day Friends,

Today is the last day of showcasing the lovely Pretty Peacock 2019-2021 In Colour.  I do hope you are enjoying the cards I’ve been creating with these In Colours over the past few weeks.

I’ve combined the “old”, so to speak, with the “new” for today’s share.  Enjoy Every Moment Stamp Set is from the 2021 Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue.

The more I use this set, the more I am loving it.  So much potential.

I randomly stamped 4 images from Enjoy Every Moment Stamp Set onto 4 x squares in Old Olive Ink.  These squares were then adhered to 4 x scallop squares die cut from Coastal Cabana with the Layering Squares Dies before adhering to the left side of Basic White which has been embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment from the same set was stamped onto scrap Basic White in Pretty Peacock Ink & die cut with the die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies before being adhered to centre of the 4 squares with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A very easy but effective card I think but more importantly I do hope you like it.
