Stampin’ Blends are Here….

You've-Got-This-1---Close-U

By now you are probably aware that Stampin’ Blends are now available for everyone.  I have to say that I am loving them & so will you!

My card is one I sent off in the mail yesterday to thank a friend (one I went to school with & haven’t seen for many years) for a special service we attended a couple of days ago.  I do hope she likes it!

The card has actually been cased from Page 10I of the Annual Catalogue.  Mind you, it You've-Got-This-1---Insidedoesn’t look anything like the original but it was a good starting point as I wanted it to be happy & bright, plus I wanted to play with the Stampin’ Blends.

To create my card, I used the Light Calypso Coral to colour the flowers followed by the Dark Daffodil Delight & then the Light Daffodil Delight.  I’m loving how they turned out.  The leaves were created using the leaf image from Painted Harvest & punched with the coordinating Leaf Punch.  Both are available in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue & are available as a Bundle.

Although I have used a couple of items that have retired (easily replaced by current product) I’m very happy with my card today, but please let me know what you think.

If you click on the link above the card, you will be able to download a tutorial so that you can create your own.  It includes all the measurements (metric & imperial) along November-2017with a list of products.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Technique Tuesday

You've-Got-This---Close-Up

G’Day Stampers,

It is Tuesday & that means a new technique for you to download & play with.  Remember, if you don’t have the product I’ve used on my card, use what you have on hand.  This week we are highlighting Bleaching.  What I love about this technique is that it is always changing.  My card has changed a lot since I first created it & not every petal is the same.

This is one of the cards we created a couple of weeks ago in our class.  I am happy to say the ladies loved it.  They also enjoyed playing with the technique too…..  I keep forgetting to take photos to share with you as their cards turned out beautiful.

These techniques appear on my blog every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month, along Technique-Layoutwith instructions for a card using the technique.  The Technique Tutorial is available for download by clicking on the Free Technique Tutorials Page, file in a folder & keep on hand to use or to refer back to at a later date.

Yes, SU! Demos are able to use them for your classes, workshops & demonstrations.  It just means that all the work is done for you, except of course your samples.

Christmas with Painted Harvest

Painted-Harvest-Christmas--

G’Day Stampers,

I was wide awake at about 3.30am the other morning & this idea sort of popped into my 4-februaryhead, so of course I had to try it out immediately.  I’m happy to say it worked & that I am more than excited that I can now use the set for multiple occasions.  Gotta love it when you can get multiple uses from your products.

I’ve taken the layout for the card from a sketch that I gave to my team sometime ago & thought it would be good to revisit the same sketch but with different supplies.  You can see the original card by clicking here.  I think I’ve hit the mark with this one.  Don’t you?

Painted-Harvest-Christmas-I

The “berries” are from the same stamp set & randomly stamped in Berry Burst.  The Tranquil Tide Ribbon was layered across the top of the Painted Autumn DSP & then the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon (it’s so pretty) across the middle of that.

The stamped wreath was die cut with the circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits before being layered onto a scallop circle die cut from the Layering Circles Framelits.

The sentiment is from the Hearts Come Home set & was stamped direct onto Whisper White in Berry Burst.

The card was layered onto Lemon Lime Twist & then to the Base Card – Tranquil Tide.

Kylie’s International Highlights

Thank you once again to everyone who voted for me last month.  I got to be part of the Top Ten Winners Blog Hop.  If you didn’t catch the amazing creations, please check them out.  Where does the time go?  In saying that it is that time again where I am once again playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights.

This month the theme is “Sympathy“.  It is not something we like to create but as I am down a little on this type of card, I have been creating a few for an upcoming event, so perfect timing.  The only problem was which one to showcase for this hop?

Not sure of what is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.

What is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other Vote for Me Heretalented successful demonstrators.

What do I do?  All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.  I’m #3!

For my card today I’ve used the gorgeous new “Painted Harvest” Stamp Set from the 2017Painted-Harvest---Sympathy- Holiday Catalogue.  Perfect for all occasions.  I’m not sure if you can get pink sunflowers but I like the colours – Powder Pink & Flirty Flamingo.  The leaves are Pear Pizzazz, while the sentiment is in Chocolate Chip.

I’ve teamed the inks up with Chocolate Chip, Powder Pink & Whisper White CS.  The large piece of Whisper white has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF.

To grab your free tutorial, click on the link above the photo.  It includes all product used in the project along with measurements (metric & imperial).

Be sure to check out all the other lovely creations when you pop on over to Kylie’s Blog .  Don’t forget to go & vote for the ones you love & leave them a little love!

Painted Harvest Suite

Painted-Harvesta---Close-Up

I am sharing with you today one of the cards we will be creating in our “Cards @ Toogoom” class.  We would love for you to come along & create with us.

I saw this fold over on Pinterest a little while ago but now of course I am unable to find the link, but I managed to do one better & actually found the blog.  Thank you so much Jeanie for your inspiration even though it was one created in error, I loved that it was so different!

I’ve used the lovely Painted Harvest Suite to create our card.  The Suite includes the Painted Harvest Stamp Set, Leaf Punch which can be purchased as a Bundle & the Painted Autumn DSP.  It took me a little time to actually purchase this set, but I must tell you, it is so much fun playing with it.  I especially love the fact that it gives you a gorgeous watercolur look to all your creations.

Tips to help you with the 2-Step Stampin’ set –Painted-Harvesta---Fancy-Fo

  1. Stamp the centre first.  This helps to centre your flower
  2. Stamp the larger flower next but in a lighter contrasting ink.  This flower will look like it may be missing part of the stamp, but this is ok
  3. Stamp the smaller flower 2nd & in a darker contrasting ink.  You will be amazed at how the flower will come together
  4. For more definition, stamp the larger flower once again in the same colour ink as the first time.  Your flower will just about pop off your Card

I do hope the ladies are going to love creating this card.

By clicking on on the link below, you will be able to download a tutorial to create your own card.

SeptemberIf you pop back in a few days time, I will also share with you another one I created using the same fold.

Don’t forget when shopping in my Online Shop to use September’s Host Code to receive a gift from me.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
