Inside of Card…

?

For the class at Caloundra Community Centre, we did the Technique – Baby Wipe.  This one has been around for some time, but I never tire of it & for the life of me, can’t understand why I don’t do it more often.  Tutorial for this Technique may be found Here…
Now I have made 2 complete different cards, each using the same design from pre-SU.  Mind you, these look nothing like the original.

Base Card – Tempting Turquoise – 4 7/8″ x 4 1/4″ or 15cm x 10.5cm
Layer 1 – Whisper White – 4 3/4″ x 4″ or 14.5cm x 10cm
Layer 2 – Daffodil Yellow – 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ or 11.5cm x 9cm
Layer 3 – Whisper White – 4 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ or 11cm x 8.5cm
Layer 4 – Melon Mambo – 3 1/2″ x 3″ or 9cm x 7.5cm
Layer 5 – Whisper White – 3 3/8″ x 2 7/8″ or 8.5cm x 7cm

For the colours of my Baby Wipe, I used Re-Inkers – Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo & Elegant Eggplant.

Layer 1 –
I adhered a piece of Taffeta Ribbon across the top half of Whisper Cardstock & then applied to the Base Card – Tempting Turquoise.

Layer 2 –
First up, I stamp the flower images randomly across the larger piece of Whisper White.  Then using Old Olive Ink, I stamped the leaf image randomly around the flowers & adhered to Daffodil Yellow Cardstock.  I adhered Taffeta Ribbon across the top part of the card, ensuring that both ribbon pieces matched up evenly on the cardstocks.  I tied a bow & adhered to card.

Layer 3 –
Stamp the butterfly images randomly over the smaller piece of Whisper White Cardstock & adhere to the Melon Mambo Cardsock.  I adhered this piece to the 2nd layer & then adhered the whole lot to the base card.

I stamped the sentiment using Old Olive Ink directly onto the Whisper White Cardstock.

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Flower Fancy, All a Flutter, So Happy for You
Inks – Old Olive
Cardstock – Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Daffodil Yellow, Melon Mambo
Ribbon – 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon – Daffodil Yellow
Re-Inkers – Tempting Turquoise. Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant

Accessories – Multipurpose Glue, Snail Adhesive

Until next time when I will post the 2nd card.

Enjoy!

  1. Vicky,

I love the color combo. I have not used the baby wipe technique. Definitely going to give it a try.
