Below, is a very simple tutorial to the great Technique – Emboss Resist. I used this technique on this card
Supplies –
Stamp Set – Pocket Silhouettes
Inks – Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Cardstock – Whisper White
Ink – Versamark
Accessories – Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Embossing Powder – White, Tissue, SU Sponger, Powder Tray
Instructions –
- Using your Embossing Buddy, rub over entire piece of Whisper White Cardstock – this will stop your Embossing Powder from sticking in the wrong places
- Ink your stamp using Versamark
- Stamp image direct onto Whisper White Cardstock
- Pour White Embossing Powder over your stamped image – be liberal with your powder
- Pour/Tap off excess onto a piece of paper or a Powder Tray & pour immediately back into the jar
- Heat image, being careful not to burn your cardstock. It will melt into a nice shinny image
- Using SU Sponge & Daffodil Delight & Pool Party Inks, sponge over stamped images & cardstock until you are happy with the result
- To add a little more depth to your image, stamp image using the same colour inks you used for your sponging
- Buff images using a soft tissue – embossed images resist the sponged ink
- Complete & Embellish card
I hope this tutorial is very clear & not too complicated. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact me – vickiawright@bigpond.com
