Speedy Recovery

Our new year didn’t start off the best this year as one of my uncles had a heart attack.  It was very lucky that he new what was happening, rang the ambulance, opened the front door & collapsed in the kitchen.  He is ok, but he did give us all a big 003ll-blogscare.

Today’s card is one which was created especially.  It is a stamp set “Patterned Occasions” from SAB 2013 & one which I’ve kept.  Since I wanted to use something other than a tree, boat, etc, I thought this would be perfect.  I also wanted to use colours that were a little different, so I consulted my Colour Coach.

I tore a piece of Whisper White CS prior to embossing with the Square Lattice EF, before adhering to a piece of Pear Pizzazz & finally to the Base Card – Early Espresso.

I masked the wording from the stamp with a bit of Sticky Tape, inked the Band Aid with Sahara Sand, took the mask off & stamped onto a scrap piece of Whisper White Card.  I repeated his 2 more times before cutting around the images & adhering to the Card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped direct onto a piece of scrap Whisper White Card in Pear Pizzazz Ink.  To do this, I masked the image, inked, took the mask off & then stamped.

It was punched with the Word Window Punch prior to adhering to a piece of Early Espresso Card which has been punched with the Modern Label Punch & adhered to the Card with Stampin’ Dimenisonals.

A very simple 5 minute card, but one he loved.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky
