Our 2nd card from our Bokeh Technique Class last week is using the new Stamp Set “Celebrate Today” which is in the Occasional Catalogue.  I again saw this card on Pinterest as my starting point & then when out on my own.  I think the colours are perfect for the girls.

We did our Technique a little different for this card by wetting the Base Card – Whisper White first & then “blobbing” Ink onto the card with Re-Fills & an Aqua Painter.  I didn’t use Watercolour Paper has I wanted to see if I could do the same technique using ordinary Cardstock.  I love how the result is so different.

The Whisper White Card layered onto the Base Card – Melon Mambo has been embossed using the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

For the Balloon, we stamped the Confetti Image onto Vellum Card in Pumpkin Pie Ink prior to cutting out with the Balloon Die, running through the Big Shot & adhering to Card Front.

To create the “Happy“, we used the Little Letters Thinlits – love these letters & use them soooooo much! We used the Reserve & not the letters.  This was adhered to the top of the Balloon with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the Right Hand Sight & Adhesive on the Left Hand Side.

The “Birthday” is from the same Stamp Set & is stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White in Memento Black Ink prior to adhering to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish the card, we tied  bow with Whisper White Baker’s Twine & adhered it to the Balloon with a Glue Dot.

The ladies loved both of their cards.
