Hey, Girl

I just love this gorgeous little Stamp Set.  Fantastic for so many techniques.  On our card, we played with the Blender Pen, 003wma-blogAqua Painter, paper Pierced & Freehand.

My card today is one we created in my Friday’s volunteer class yesterday.  We decided to take a much earned break from the Christmas Cards.

I had a number of kids in the class as it is school holidays in Qld & they usually like to come along, so I like to aim the cards at them.  Mind you, the ladies love creating them too.

For my card, I used both the Blender Pen & Aqua Painter along with Markers & Inks.  I will warn you that if you are using both, please be a little patient in the colouring.  This way you are guaranteed to end up with a lovely result.

I started off by casing the card on Page 44 of the Catalogue but as I went along, it sort of developed a mind of it’s own, so I just went with the flow.  I especially love how the footpath developed.  I bet if I tried to do it again, it wouldn’t happen.

I also love how her eyes have lit up at the site of the Butterfly landing on her hand.  The DSP I used has long since retired, but worked perfectly with the image.  You could change it out to a more current DSP.

As you can see, I carried the footpath onto the card inside.

Please feel free to click on the link below for instructions on how to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky
