Congrats…

Good Morning Stampers,

I’ve been playing with gorgeous “Serene Scenery” DSP Stack.  I will admit it sort of didn’t hit #2---Julyme when looking through the Catalogue, but ideas started forming in my mind on how to put it to good use.  The papers in the Stack are stunning!

For my card today, I used the sketch for this month, which made it so easy.  I had been wanting to play with paper by cutting & matching the design much the same way as we do with our stamps.  The sketch worked perfectly for my idea.

I will admit that I swapped part of the sketch to the opposite side but that is ok.  The beauty of sketches is that you have fun with them & make them work for you.

I am also loving all the great Bundles SU! have in the new Catalogue, including the many lovely Thinlits & Framelits, so I put one of them – “Sunshine Wishes” – to good use.

003wm-blog-insideAs I have so much Whisper White Baker’s Twine (retired) still staring at me waiting to be used, I used it on my card but you could easily replace with the Thick Baker’s Twine, Ribbon or even Washi Tape.

When trying to match Papers, be careful that you cut in the same direction or else you will have all sorts of problems.

I cut my Thinlits a number of times from scrap Whisper White Card so that they would look a little raised when on the Card.  I also created a bit of a shadow with the “Congrats” which meant I adhered the Melon Mambo just a little lower than the Whisper White.

You may have also noticed that I’ve used no stamps on my card today, thanks to this gorgeous Paper Stack & “Sunshine Wishes” Thinlits.

I’m really happy with this card, but would love to know what you think?

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
