FMS268

It’s been  few days since my last post.  I have been creating plus cleaning my craft room.  Hopefully, I will be sharing lots of new cards over the next few weeks.

Today’s card has been created for a challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I love their challenges & try to play along as much as possible but it doesn’t always work out that way.20161231_100935_resizedblog

I don’t have a tutorial as such so will explain how I created my card.  I also decided to go with colours that are not normally female, but I do like the finished result.

I embossed a piece of Soft Sky CS with the Seaside EF & adhered to the Base Card – Early Espresso.  I then decided to emboss a piece of Whisper White CS with the same EF but going in the opposite direction before layering onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS & then to the Card Front.

The smaller piece of Whisper White CS was randomly coloured towards the bottom with the new Watercolour PencilsEarly Espresso & Pool Party before blending with the Aqua Painter & allowing to dry.  I randomly stamped the “footprints” from the “Totally Trees” Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.

The tree trunk was stamped in Early Espresso Ink while the frons are in Pear Pizzazz Ink.  The coconuts are Early Espresso but I’ve had to colour around them with the Early Espresso Pencil as I’ve lost 1 of my little images, but hey, it worked.

I took the “Happy Birthday” from the “Sunburst Sayings” Stamp Set & stamped direct onto the same card in Early Espresso Ink.

To complete my card & to make it a little more female, I added a couple of Pearl Basic Jewels.

There is still a few days to play along with this challenge.  I do hope you find the time to do so.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

  1. I don’t have a clue where else you used the pencils but I love this card. So summer and the sea and sand look perfect.

  2. I love this little scene you’ve created and the pretty, tranquil colors. Have a happy New Year, and thank you for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
