Congratulations

I haven’t posted in a little while due to being ill, although not 100% well, I thought I would try & start posting again.  There is nothing like the feeling of excitement & sitting down to your craft desk, ready to create & “BLANK”.  Luckily, that didn’t happen with this card.

My card today is one I sent to a friend, Naomi who recruited her very 1st recruit a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn’t post this card until she received it.

I thought the “Lift Me Up” Bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue was perfect for her card.  The Bundle includes the “Lift Me Up” Stamp Set & the “Up & Away” Thinlit Dies.  There is also coordinating “Carried Away” DSP in the 2017 SAB Catalogue.  Don’t you just love it when SU! make it so easy to create?

To create my card, I watercoloured the bottom part of a piece of Shimmery White with Pear20170131_054021_resizedblog-2 Pizzazz Ink & Aqua Painter.  I then did the sky in Soft Sky & Pool Party Inks along with the Aqua Painter.

Once it was dry, I masked off the top part of the sentiment “………… Congratulations” with Sticky Tape, inked the “Congratulations” in Memento Tuxedo Ink, removed the mask & stamped direct onto the coloured card.  The card was then layered onto the Base Card – Calypso Coral.

The clouds were stamped onto scraps of Whisper White using Soft Sky Ink before cutting with the coordinating Cloud Thinlit Die by running through the Big Shot.  The Balloons were stamped onto scrap Whisper White, the large one in Marina Mist Ink & the smaller one in Calypso Coral Ink.  They were then cut using the Thinlit Dies by running through the Big Shot.

Both the Balloons & Clouds were adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As I have a saying with my team “Onwards & Upwards“, I wanted to include it on the card, so I cut a piece of Whisper White down to the size I wanted, wrote the words with a Project Life Journaling Pen & cut them to size before adhering to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s a very simple card but one that I am happy with.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky
