Happy Anniversary

I was asked to create a card for a special 40th Anniversary so the first stamp set that 20170630_125601blog-insidepopped into my mind was the Number of Years including the matching the “Large Number” Framelits along with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits.  Of course being the 40th I had to use the “Red Glimmer Paper”.

This was perfect timing as I am a member of “Joy of Sets (SU!)” FB Group & they are having their first challenge this month.  The challenge is “RUBY – let’s see red on your cards“.

Being for a very special occasion, I thought a 5” square card would be nice.

I die cut the heart into a piece of Thick Whisper White Card using the Blooming Heart Thinlits & running through the Big Shot.  A piece of the Red Glimmer Paper was then adhered behind the cut out shape.  I also die cut a number of flowers scraps of the Red Glimmer Paper & Thick Whisper White Card for later on.  I wasn’t too sure which ones I was going to use.

The die cut heart was inlaid back into the shape using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen before layering onto the Base Card – Thick Whisper White.

I die cut the “4” & “0” from the Red Glimmer Paper using the Large Number Framelits by running through the Big Shot.  I repeated it twice but using Thick Whisper White Card as I wanted the numbers to pop out a little.  The die cut numbers were layered onto each 20170630_125538blog (2)other before finally adhering to the Card Front.

After settling on the Whisper White die cut flowers, these were adhered to heart with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

I stamped “Happy” onto scrap Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, punched it with the Classic Label Punch, cut the left side straight & adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The “th” was stamped onto scrap Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, cut back to size & a Banner Shape into the left hand side before being adhered to the top of the “o”.

The Banner image was stamped onto Whisper White Card in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink as was the “Anniversary“, fussy cut & adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To complete the card, Pearls Basic Jewels were applied to the centre of the flowers & randomly scattered around the card front.

For the inside & the envelopes, I used the remainder of the die cut Whisper White flowers along with the Red Glimmer flowers.

I do hope you like my card today, I know the lovely couple who received it did!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky
