Why Classic Monochrome?
You can never go wrong with a monochrome palette. It’s sharp, it’s versatile and it’s instantly masculine. By adding a single accent colour, you can make the sentiment or design element pop without overwhelming the clean look.
Supplies You’ll Need
- Black card base or dark grey
- White and grey cardstock
- One accent colour – red, blue, green or metallic
- Adhesive – liquid glue or tape runner
- Sentiment stamp or die-cut
- Optional – enamel dots or metallic brads for extra polish
Step-by-Step: Classic Monochrome Card
- Create Your Base – Start with a black or dark grey card base – Basic Grey on this one
- Layer Panels – Add layers of white and grey cardstock for contrast – Basic Black layer along with Basic White & Pattern Paper
- Choose an Accent – Pick one bold color (red, blue or green works beautifully) – can’t go wrong with a pop of red
- Add Your Sentiment – Stamp or die-cut a bold greeting in your accent colour – this sentiment covers lots of occasions
- Keep It Minimal – Add a few enamel dots or keep it clean for a sharp finish – Basic Grey Enamel Dots
