Words of Wisdom Collection | Easy Card from Scraps

G’Day Crafty Friends,

There’s something quietly powerful about creating with what’s left behind, ie your scraps.

In a world that constantly pushes for more – more supplies, more tools, more perfection – sitting down with a handful of scraps feels almost rebellious.  Torn edges, leftover die cuts, bits of textured cardstock… pieces that once seemed insignificant suddenly become the foundation of something meaningful.

When you make a simple card from scraps, especially when adding additional elements, eg dry embossing or layering embossed die cuts, you’re doing more than crafting – you’re practicing perspective.

You begin to see potential where others see waste.

A scrap isn’t just a leftover.  It’s a starting point.

The “scraps” we collect – unfinished pprojects, failed projects, layers, elements – often hold more value than we realize.  When we take the time to shape them, layer them and give them attention, they turn into something worth keeping.

So next time you sit down to create, resist the urge to reach for something new.

Pick up the scraps.

Run them through your embossing folder.  Layer them thoughtfully.  Let the textures speak.

And remember – beauty isn’t always found in what’s pristine.  More often, it’s discovered in what’s been overlooked.

Sometimes, the simplest card carries the deepest message.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!
