Hello Darling Card Collection | Sweet Baby Card

G’Day Crafty Friends,

I love creating baby cards, there’s just something about them.  Could it be the soft colours, the sweet sentiments or the tiny details?

Today I’m sharing a card from the Hello Darling Card Collection by Uniquely Creative featuring the most adorable little tiger and a whole lot of heart.

A Little Wild, A Lot of Sweet

For this baby card, I chose the cheeky tiger Creative Cut as the focal point.  While tigers may be wild at heart, this one is all cuddles and charm.

I kept the colour palette soft and baby-friendly – soft whites & subtle sandy neutrals with touches of soft greens tossed in here & there.

The result feels playful without being too bold — perfect for welcoming a sweet baby boy or girl!

The sentiment, “Welcome Sweet Little One” is from the Mini Cut-A-Part Sheet that is included in the Collection.  The green Pearls finish this sweet card off perfectly.

Sometimes baby cards don’t need lots of embellishment — just thoughtful details and a cohesive colour story.

I absolutely love how this card turned out.  The combination of soft neutrals and that precious tiger makes it both charming and unique.  It’s a lovely reminder that even the tiniest cubs bring the biggest joy.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Easter Cards | Homemade Cards for Seniors, Australia

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Easter is a time for warmth, connection and thoughtful gestures.  If you’re looking for something meaningful this season, Homemade Cards for Seniors, Australia is a great place to start.

Whether you’re gifting to a loved one, donating to an aged care home or sending cheerful notes to neighbours, homemade cards combine nostalgia, charm and heartfelt kindness.

Why Easter Cards Matter for Seniors

For many older Australians, Easter brings back cherished memories of family gatherings, church services, chocolate eggs and handwritten cards.  Receiving a physical card –

  • Reduces feelings of isolation
  • Sparks joyful memories
  • Encourages social connection
  • Provides something tangible to display and treasure

In aged care communities especially, a handwritten card can mean more than we realise.

I purchased this set of cute baby Australian graphics from either Ebay or Esty.  I am not sure which & now of course, can’t find the link or information.  If I do come across it again, I will be sure to update the link.

The set includes – Koalas, cheekly little Echidnas, Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, Echidnas, Galahs, Platypus, Quokka, Emu, Kookaburra, Seahorse, Frog, Bilby & one of my favourites – Joeys.

Today, I’m sharing 4 images from the set.  For all cards, I decided on the same layout but changing out the layering cardstock colours & embellishment.

All the baby animals are peeking out from a wall surrounded with Easter eggs & flowers.  The colours & images are just gorgeous.  Who can resist a uniquely local, heartwarming feel — perfect for seniors who love their country and its wildlife.

A set of cute Australian animal Easter cards isn’t just stationery — it’s a bundle of joy, connection and comfort.  For seniors especially, these small gestures can make Easter feel truly special.

If you’re planning your Easter giving this year, consider going handmade, heartfelt and uniquely Australian.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Paper Rose Studio | Strawberry Friends Collection | Scrapbook Pages

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Toady I am sharing my 2nd project for February created with the lovely Strawberry Friends Collection by Paper Rose Studio.

Have you ever looked through your old handmade cards & think “this would really make a cute scrapbook page?” You could even create your cards from scrapbook layouts too.

Well, this is how my pages started.

I wanted to create quick and easy 6×8 scrapbook layouts, but I didn’t want to overthink the designs or pull out tons of supplies. So instead of searching for complicated sketches, I did something way simpler…

I raided my old card photos for inspiration.

Supplies

Page 1

The Pattern Paper squares are 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″.  To add more interest, I randomly drew lines around each square with a Black Fine Liner Pen.  They were adhere to Basic White Smooth Cardstock measuring 6″ x 8″.  This page will hold a cute little 2″ x 2 ” photo but you could easily add a larger photo if you wish.  The Pink Lemonade Shimmer Cardstock photo mat  measures 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″.

Page 2

Again, Paper Pattern squares were added to a 6″ x 8″ Basic White Smooth Cardstock page but this time the Pink Lemonade Shimmer Cardstock photo mat has been added a little off centre to the left side.  It will again hold a cute little 2″ x 2″ photo.

The Embellishment are Pearls & were coloured with a green Alcohol Marker.

The sentiment strips are from the Rainbow Poppies A5 Sentiment Sheets.  I love these sheets as they are perfect for both cards & scrapbook pages.

I will confess ….. case’ing old card layouts made this feel way less overwhelming as I didn’t overthink it, no complicated sketch layouts AND I’ve used scraps to ceate the pages.  In fact, these pages come together so fast.  They are simple but sometimes simple is all we need.

Next time you want to create a scrapbook page, don’t forget to flip through your old cards and pick one you love, asking yourself – Where would my photo/s go?  Where would the title sit?  Do I need a title?  What can I use for embellishments?  Then, all that is left is to rebuild it but this time a little bigger!

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Pooh Bear | Hundred Acre Collection | Kat Scrappiness

G’Day Crafty Friends,

I’m back today with another Kat Scrappiness Creative Affiliate project and this one might be extra special because it features the sweetest little Pooh Bear.  I mean… who doesn’t love that honey-loving cutie?

I wanted this card to feel warm, soft and cozy — like a big hug in paper form — so I mixed a little colouring, pattern papers and lots of die-cut shapes to bring it all together.

Colouring the Image

I started by colouring Pooh with my alcohol markers.  These are my favourite for smooth blends and soft shading.

I kept the colours classic:

  • golden yellows for his fur
  • that signature red shirt
  • soft shadows to add depth and dimension

Supplies – Kat Scrappiness

Finishing Touches

Once everything was layered up, this card just felt so cheerful and nostalgic.  Pattern paper + colouring + dies is truly one of my favourite combos — and Pooh just makes everything extra sweet.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope this project inspires you to pull out your markers and play with your paper stash.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!
