Today’s card is one I created using one of the sketches from our Pretty Pattern Papers (check out the Page above) Tutorials.
Last week I shared with you a card using the same sketch & as it turned out, I was asked to create card using Pinks, White & Browns for a special occasion.
As I wanted to use the same layout from the one I shared last week, I decided to go with the Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set along with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits & of course the matching Love Blossoms DSP (retired).
I updated it by changing out the circle to squares by using the Layered Squares Framelits (loving these…), embossing a piece of Blushing Bride Card & adding Pearls. Actually, to be truthful, I found the piece of Blushing Bride already cut to size & embossed so it was sort of easy to go from there.

I saw a card when looking for something else on the internet the other day & loved the way the card had been created using DSP & Card in a Mosaic way. After tracing it back to the original post, I would like to thank Kelly for sharing it her wonderful card.
This is a perfect way to use some of your DSP. You can have as many pieces of DSP or Card as you like to create your own version of the card. I decided to use just 2 pieces of DSP along with 1 coordinating Card for my mosaic. Creating your card this way, you are able to create 3 more cards using the same Card & DSP.
The Mosaic Card fits in perfectly with our Pretty Pattern Papers whereby we encourage you to use all that gorgeous DSP you have sitting in your cupboard & not a game to cut into it. Be sure to click on the link to purchase any of the tutorials available.
Don’t forget, by clicking on the link below, you are able to download a Free Tutorial to create your own card. It also includes all the supplies I’ve used plus the measurements.
I created a few Christmas Tags for those that came to our last Technique & Xmas Break Up Class.
It was a fun arvo creating our Peace Star & sitting around having a chat eats & laughs afterwards. We don’t always get to do this as we sort of rush off with places to go & people to see.
I punched a piece of Very Vanilla CS using the Triple Banner Punch & thread a piece of Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine through the top.
As I had scraps of the Home for Christmas DSP I decided to try & use them up, so I adhered 2 strips of the DSP to the Tag, fussy cut the Poinsettias, & adhered them to the tags with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the greeting, I stamped “Merry Christmas” from “Petite Pairs” onto Very Vanilla CS in Mossy Meadow Ink before punching with the Large Oval Punch. I adhered them to a piece of Mossy Meadow CS punched from the Scallop Oval Punch before adhering to the top of the Tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Very easy Tags, but ones that are made from scraps of left over DSP & put to good use.
My card that I am sharing today is one we did in our Technique Class a couple of Sundays ago. In fact, the ladies loved the cards, but I think it could be all the lovely glitter we used on our cards. We played around with the Heat & Stick Powder. This always makes for stunning cards.
Sorry it is only a short post, but am just about to step out the door.
Today is the day the gorgeous new Holiday Catalogue goes live. Not only is it filled with Christmas product to die for but fantastic ideas as well.
I will admit my pre-order sat in a corner (in the box) for a week or so, as I just haven’t had the time to play). Does this happen to anyone else?
My post is one I created a couple if days ago which I have cased from Page 14 using the lovely new “Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies”, Page 15 & the lovely “Home for Christmas” DSP, Page 9 & the oh so lovely “Softly Falling” TIEF, Page 24. I also used the new “Precision Base Plate” to cut my Dies plus a couple of other goodies.
Along with the “Precision Base Plate“, the other “must have” item from this Catalogue is the “Fine-Tip Glue Pen” – Page 43. If you only purchase 2 items, then be sure it is these 2 items – they will make your life so much easier. Thank you SU!
