Today I am sharing with you one of the cards created for our Technique Treats way back in March 2016. It is using the lovely little “Easter Lamb” Stamp from the 2016 Occasions
Catalogue. You could easily swap it out for a more current stamp set along with a different sentiment or greeting & it would be a whole new card.
To create my background I used Pear Piazzazz & Soft Sky Re-Inkers, but again you can easily change your colours to suit your card. Spray shaving Cream onto a Paper Plate, Alfoil or Photo Copy Paper before randomly adding drops of Pear Pizzazz & Soft Sky Re-Inkers into the Shaving Cream & swirl through with the Simply Scored Tool being carful not to mix too much.
Place a piece of Shimmery White CS into the Shaving Cream until all CS is covered. You could do more pieces if you want so that you can use them at a later date. Wipe excess off with a Tissue. Use the piece for your card background or run it through the Big Shot with a Die.
If you head on over to the Technique Treats Page, you will find another Tutorial using the same Technique along with heaps of other fun Technique Tutorials. You also receive separate instructions for your Techniques which means you are able to file in a folder & keep for later.
I am still not back to posting properly but fingers crossed that we will be back on track next week.
Today’s post are just some of the tickets I created for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party which is happening next weekend. This event has been months in planning but I think we are just about there.
I’ve used the “Have a Cuppa” DSP Pack from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue. The paper was perfect for this event & seeing as though I had heaps left over including a full pack, it worked in perfectly.
As we are using bright greens, purples, oranges, yellows, pinks with black & white thrown in & nothing matching, I thought it would be a good idea to start the event off with having all different tickets. The ladies loved them, especially when they realised that they all had a different ticket.
We’ve kept the rest of the stationery & decorations a well guarded secret, but wil share with you the remainder of everything once the event is over.
I have been missing in action the last week or 2 but am feeling up to doing a little today. While the going is good, I thought I would also try a little post. It is also a challenge from our FB Page to do an extra blog this week. Well, seeing as though I set the challenge, I felt I had to play along.
As I don’t have a card created (still not creating), I thought I would start sharing some of our cards we have created for our Technique Treats – #1 Collection. In saying that I will only be sharing 1 or 2 from each collection. You are still able to purchase the tutorials for the posted card along with the other cards in the collection by heading over to the “Technique Treats” Page.
My first card is one we did way back in February 2016 when the 2016 Occasions Catalogue come out. It has been created using the lovely “Rose Wonder” Stamp Set along with the coordinating “Rose Garden” Framelits. The technique is “Re-Inkers” – perfect for getting more use from your Re-Inkers.
I also used the Layering Squares Framelits along with the gorgeous Neutrals Paper Stack – Basic Black which pops the Flower.
Until next time, Enjoy!
Don’t forget when purchasing Online, to use January’s Host Code & receive a free gift in the mail.
It’s been few days since my last post. I have been creating plus cleaning my craft room. Hopefully, I will be sharing lots of new cards over the next few weeks.
Today’s card has been created for a challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. I love their challenges & try to play along as much as possible but it doesn’t always work out that way.
I don’t have a tutorial as such so will explain how I created my card. I also decided to go with colours that are not normally female, but I do like the finished result.
I embossed a piece of Soft Sky CS with the Seaside EF & adhered to the Base Card – Early Espresso. I then decided to emboss a piece of Whisper White CS with the same EF but going in the opposite direction before layering onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS & then to the Card Front.
The smaller piece of Whisper White CS was randomly coloured towards the bottom with the new Watercolour Pencils – Early Espresso & Pool Party before blending with the Aqua Painter & allowing to dry. I randomly stamped the “footprints” from the “Totally Trees” Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.
The tree trunk was stamped in Early Espresso Ink while the frons are in Pear Pizzazz Ink. The coconuts are Early Espresso but I’ve had to colour around them with the Early Espresso Pencil as I’ve lost 1 of my little images, but hey, it worked.
I took the “Happy Birthday” from the “Sunburst Sayings” Stamp Set & stamped direct onto the same card in Early Espresso Ink.
To complete my card & to make it a little more female, I added a couple of Pearl Basic Jewels.
There is still a few days to play along with this challenge. I do hope you find the time to do so.
I am sharing a card today that was created for one of our Technique Treats #8 – “Faux Linen” – 2 ways where we used the lovely stamp set “A Day at the Beach” which is from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.
I’ve done lots of sponging – moon, waves & sand. The dolphin, thongs & ball have been coloured with Inks & Blender Pen. I’ve adhered them to the Card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’ve used the Faux Linen Technique on the Basic Black Background.
There is so much potential with the lovely little stamp set.
If you want to create more cards using this great technique, be sure to head on over to the “Technique Treats” Page.
Don’t forget, tomorrow is the release of our November Treats.
Today is the launch of our new “Pretty Pattern Papers” Tutorials. This month we are getting ready for Christmas.
We’ve played with the lovely “This Christmas” Speciality DSP, Page 27 (Ideas) & Page 172 of the Annual Catalogue. Along with the DSP, we’ve used lots of lovely Christmas Stamps – “Holly Berry Happiness Bundle” from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue, “Peace This Christmas” which coordinates with the DSP & “Reason for the Season“.
Don’t forget, in the Tutorial, you receive a Sketch, List of Products, Measurements (Metric & Imperial) & Instructions. It is a way to get you to use up that lovely stash of Paper you have sitting in your cupboard. This is the perfect time to make a start on your Christmas Cards.
Throughout the month, I will be creating more cards using this lovely paper, so be sure to pop back to check them out. You can also check out this Christmas Card I created last week using this DSP.
We hope you will join us this month. To purchase your Tutorial, please click on the Pretty Pattern Papers Page.
My card today is one I created for a special friend who did a couple of things for me. I was very much taken back by her kindness so thought a nice card would show my appreciation.
I don’t have a tutorial for you today, but will try & remember how I did the card from the photo – the original has long gone in the post.
I’ve used the “Cups & Kettles” Framelits Dies (retired) for my card. I cut a piece of the “Have a Cuppa” DSP (retired) & adhered it to the bottom part of a piece of Whisper White Card. The “Pleated Skirt” has been created from the same DSP Stack. It was then adhered to the top of the DSP before layering a piece of Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon above the skirt & again across the top of the skirt.
The Teapot was cut from Melon Mambo Card using the Framelit Dies & adhered onto the Card Front. The lid was adhered above the Teapot with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Heart has been cut from Melon Mambo Card & adhered to the Card. The wavy lines were cut from scraps of Whisper White Card & adhered across the Teapot.
I stamped the Sentiment from “A Nice Cuppa” Stamp Set (retired), direct onto the Card Front in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The Card Front was then layered to the Base Card – Whisper White.
With summer being around the corner in Australia (well, we don’t really have winter where I am), I thought I would share with you a small sneak peek at one of the cute sets from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2016 Holiday Catalogue. It is one of my favourite perks about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, being able to see and order new product before it’s released! AND believe me, the new Holiday Catalogue will not disappoint.
The little Cards are about 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ in size. Enough to write a small note to accompany the new Catalogues.
I sponged Crumb Cake onto a piece of Whisper White Card for the sand & then Soft Sky for the Sky. I wanted the sponging to be very light so that I could still write on the card.
For all my little cards, I stamped the Umbrella from the “Day by the Beach” Stamp Set directly onto the card in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then stamped it again onto scrap Whisper White Card before colouring with my Blender Pen, Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight & Marina Mist Inks. The top of the umbrella was fussy cut prior to layering onto the Sponged Card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I then stamped the Starfish, Bucket & Spade, Thongs (love that we now have a pair of thongs in our collection) & Hat Images onto scrap Whisper White Card in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & coloured with Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight & Watermelon Wonder Inks along with my Blender Pen.
The images were fussy cut & adhered to the Card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cards were then layered onto a piece of Soft Sky Card.
I think they represent our Australian summer to a “T”, but would love to hear what you think?
I am in the process of creating a small package for a High Tea Cent Sale & thought I would share with you one of the cards that I’ve created using the “A Nice Cuppa” Stamp Set along with the matching “Have a Cuppa” DSP & of course the “Cups & Kettle” Framelits, al of which are now retired, but it has been great using them for this special event.
To be honest, I had created the beginning of this card when the items were current but it had gone into my unfinished pile. All I had to do was add the elements at the top of the card. Don’t ask me why I hadn’t done it previously as it took me all of about 15m to complete the card.
I actually did another one similar to this one which you will be able to find here, including a Tutorial. For the Cup I’ve used Melon Mambo Card, Lemons have been stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink onto Whisper White Card & then fussy cut. The Tea Bag was stamped onto Whisper White Card in Bermuda Bay Ink, while the Spoon was cut from Basic Grey Card. Looking at my Lemons I should have stamped them onto Daffodil Delight Card in Whisper White Ink but that is ok with me.
“Happy Birthday” is from “Thoughtful Banners” Stamp Set & was stamped onto Whisper White Card in Basic Grey Ink, while the Frame was stamped in Bermuda Bay Ink & punched with the Classic Label Punch.
Remember this is a great way to use some of that DSP you have stashed in your cupboards. To create more cards using DSP, why not head on over to thePretty Pattern Papers Page to view, purchase & create more cards.
