Easter Cards | Homemade Cards for Seniors, Australia

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Once again I’m sharing Easter Cards that were created for our Seniors as part of Homemade Cards for Seniors, Australia group.  This group creates, donates & delivers homemade cards to seniors through collection points all over Australia.

Whether you’re gifting to a loved one, donating to an aged care home or sending cheerful notes to neighbours, homemade cards combine nostalgia, charm and heartfelt kindness.

To create my cards, I embossed a couple of sheets of Basic White Smooth Cardstock with 2 different Embossing Folders, chopped the sheets into pieces prior to layering them onto coloured Cardstock before adhering them to the base card.

The Sentiments have been created on my computer, printed onto Basic White Smooth Cardstock, punched with a Circle Punch, layered onto a circle of coloured Cardstock before being adhered to the base card.

A little Embellishment completed the cards.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Beyond the Basics | Ink Blending Class

G’Day Crafty Friends,

If you’re ready to take your cardmaking skills up a notch, my Beyond the Basics upcoming in person class is designed just for you!

This class is all about building confidence with techniques that elevate your cards from simple to truly special — without making them complicated.  We’ll be focusing on ink blending, stencils, stamping, embossing and sprays to create layered, eye-catching designs that are still easy to recreate at home.

Today’s card is one that I’m rejecting as I’ve just received new Rub-0ns which I want to incorporate into the class too.  Why waste the work I’ve already done hey.

As I wanted the background to be the star of the show, I’ve kept the card design fairly simple by adding a simple sentiment & embellishment.  The cardstock colours are very neutral too.

If you’ve ever felt comfortable with the basics but ready for more, this class is for you.

Stay tuned for registration details — I can’t wait to create with you!

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

The Paper Funday Challenge | March

G’Day Friends,

Our challenge this month is sponsored by Poppy Stamps & Unity Stamps.  I’ve gone with the Twist – Fur / Feathers!

Now, I was very tempeted to go with ducks & feathers but I did manage to find an older Card Collection with rabbits, baby bears, owls & ducks.

I chose the sweetest little rabbit from the Hello Darling Card Collection to create an adorable baby card.  There’s just something timeless about a bunny when it comes to welcoming a new arrival — soft, gentle and full of charm.  It perfectly captures that cosy, cuddly feeling we all associate with newborns.

I kept the design light and delicate, using soft pastel tones to complement the rabbit’s fur and add to the overall sweetness of the card.  A subtle background and simple sentiment allowed the little rabbit to remain the star of the show.

This theme was such a fun one to work with — fur gives so many possibilities, from woodland creatures to beloved pets.  I’d love to see which side you chose for our challenge this month!
