Endless Wishes #2

This is the last of our Technique Cards for the year.  We used the “Endless Wishes” Stamp Set & played around with Dazzling Diamonds.  I think out of all the cards I’ve created this year this would have to be my favourite.  I think it is because of the clear, clean look of the card & all the white!  If you go to Page 32 of the Holiday Catalogue you can see the original.

Endless Wishes

G’day Stampers

Today’s card is using one of my favourite stamp sets from the current Holiday Catalogue – “Endless Wishes”.  This simple little stamp set has so many possibilities.  When I first saw the catalogue, I knew exactly what technique I was going to use & I didn’t have to put my thinking cap on as there was a gorgeous sample on the page showcasing this set.  Gotta love the catalogues for this.  I did add part of a card to the card we created.

The ladies loved, loved this class.

5 Minute Chrismas Card

I had to create a quick easy Christmas Card while Belle was getting clipped this morning, so I decided to visit Pinterest.  Once I saw this card, I knew that this was the one I had to create as I loved the simple clean look of it.  Thank you so much for your inspiration.

To create my card, I adhered strips of “Season of Style” Washi Tape down the RHS of a piece of Whisper White CS prior to embossing with the Decorative Dots EF prior to adhering to Base Card – Whisper White.

I stamped “Merry Christmas” from the Good Beginnings Stamp Set onto a scrap piece of Whisper White CS with Cherry Cobbler Ink, cut a banner shape & adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

If you don’t have Washi Tape, you could easy use strips of DSP.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Festival of Trees…

Now that the wedding season is over for the year (receptions, ie as invitations are starting again for the beginning of the year), I can now sit down & share the remaining of our Christmas Cards we have been creating in our Technique Classes.

One of our cards from last month’s class was using this lovely little set “Festival of Trees” from the fantastic Holiday Catalogue, runs through to 5 January 2015.Inside 1

For this class we decided we would use the fantastic “Dazzling Diamonds” in a couple of ways.  The first way was using Clear Packing Tape.

Of course we had to use the coordinating “Tree Punch” to go with the stamp AND the gorgeous “All is Calm” DSP.  As all the guess work is taken out of trying to decide what colours to use, we went with Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky Inks & finished it off with touches of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  These are the colours used in the papers.

We then created a Gift Card Holder for the inside of the card.  I had seen this on Pinterest sometime ago, but then couldn’t find it again, so I sat down & created my own version from memory.  The holder folds down when the card is closed & pops up when the card is opened.

Lovely as a Tree # 2

G’day Stampers,

This is our 2nd card using this great stamp set.

To create the scene, we created a mask for the slope & the moon.  We sponged the sky with Marina Mist, Soft sky & Night of Navy.  The masks were then removed & the tall tree was stamped in Night of Navy.  The trees were stamped direct onto the CS once & then again without re-inking.  The piece was the adhered to a piece of Whisper White CS.

Silver Ribbon was adhered across the bottom prior to adhering to Base Card – Night of Navy.  We stamped “Merry Christmas” onto a scrap piece of Whisper White CS using the stamp set “Good Greetings” – was on special & in Night of Navy Ink.  After randomly cutting around the wording, we adhered to the top of the Ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A small bow was tied & adhere to the card with Glue Dots.

To finish the card, we randomly applied Dazzling Details to the sky so that it looked a little bit like twinkling stars.

Very simple card but one I think that has a bit of a WOW about it!

Christmas Wishes

The Christmas products in this year’s Holiday Catalogue are gorgeous.  I love everything single Christmas Set & didn’t really know what to get my hands on first, so I did the sensible thing & planned classes around each of them.026blog

Today’s card is one of the ones we created early in September.  I know, slack on my behalf.

As soon as I saw this set & the samples in the catalogue I knew I wanted to plan a “Heat Embossing” Technique Class around them.  They were just beautiful.  Mind you, I did add a couple of “Vicky” touches to make them my own.

We didn’t really use a lot of product to create this gorgeous card, although I added Night of navy as the Base Card & Heat Embossed the 2 Cones using VersaMark & Soft Suede Ink, cut out & adhered to the top of the branch which has been Heat Embossed using VersaMark & White Embossing Powder.

Of course, we couldn’t complete the card without using the stunning new “All is Calm” Washi Tape

Measurements –

1 x Night of Navy Cardstock               11 ¾” x 4 1/8” or 29cm x 10.5cm

1 x Pool Party Cardstock                     5 5/8” x 4” or 14.5cm x 10cm

1 x Whisper White Cardstock           5/8” x 4” or 1.5cm x 10cm

Merry Christmas

This is our 2nd card of our 4 cards we will be creating in Crafty Creations over 4 weeks.  003blog

I saw this card on Pinterest & thought it was perfect to use the now retired Stamp Set – Ornament Keepsakes & the matching Framelits – Holiday Ornaments.  All I did was use the now retired DSP – Season of Style.  In fact I have used a couple of other retired products, including Lacy Brocade EF & Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon.

Thank you Jennifer for your lovely inspiration.

As Crafty Creations is my volunteer class it is a great way to use up some of my stash of DSP & my favourite retired stamp sets.

Click on the link “Merry Christmas” to download your tutorial for today’s card.

Check back next Friday for our 3rd card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin!

Christmas Greetings

Today’s card is one of the cards we will be creating in Crafty Creations this arvo. 004---blog

In fact, I will be dividing the class into 4 groups with each group doing 4 different cards over 4 weeks.  They don’t know it yet, but by the time this post goes live we will be in the middle of our class & the ladies will have received their surprise!!!!!

This set of cards is using the now retired “Special Season” Stamp set.

With today’s card, I started out by casing one from Pinterest, but didn’t end up being anything like the one I started out doing.  It sort of created a mind of it’s own & just kept going until I ended up with something that we could do in our Friday’s class without being too busy or involved.

My card hasn’t been embossed, but I have since added this bit to it.  The Cherry Cobbler is now embossed using the Petals-a-Plenty EF (retired).  By embossing the Cherry Cobbler, it sort of made the card jump a little more.

The edges of the Very Vanilla panel have been sponged with Crumb Cake, along with the greeting & the inside of the card.  It sort of ties everything together by doing it this way.

To bring the tree alive a little, I added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details as well as Silver Sparkle – not seen in the photo, as it was added afterwards.

Don’t forget to check back next Friday to see the 2nd card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin!
