Inspirations in Ink September Blog Hop

G’Day Friends,

Thank you for dropping by & welcome to our monthly Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop.

We’re a small group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who come together each month to showcase a theme & share inspiration for you to create.

You may be starting with me, Vicky Wright Australia or have come from Robbie’s blog where she shared her lovely project.  Don’t forget you can visit all the other blogs on today’s hop by clicking on the Blog Roll at the bottom of this post.

Our theme this month is all about the fun Cheerful Basket Bundle which I must admit I am enjoying.  A lot of possibilities with this bundle including what I’ve done to create my card.

The piece of Pumpki Pie DSP was adhered onto a layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock prior to being embossed with the lovely Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

The flowers are from my favourite Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, stamped with Pumpin Pie Ink & coloured with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combo.

The basket has been coloured & blended with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Combo.

If you live in Australia, click on the photo below to purchase this Bundle.  Don’t forget to use the September Host Code – WVPZMJKG  –  if your order is under $250.

  • All orders receive a Handmade Card.
  • Orders over $50 receive a Handmade Card plus an exclusive Inspirations in Ink PDF Tutorial Bundle.

Timeless Tulips #2 by Stampin’ Up!

G’Day Friends,

tt’s Day 2 of sharing my Feature of the Week which happens to be the sweet Timeless Tulips Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue.

Again, I’ve used a piece of the lovely Daffodil Afternoon DSP from 2022 Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration.  The papers are Level 1 & can be yours when spending $90.

Yes, Sale-a-Bration has been extended in the South Pacific until 16 March.  How lucky are we?

As I don’t have the Daffodil Daydream Bundle which just happens to pair with these papers, I thought I would once again team the papers with the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set.

The papers can be rather busy & a little overwhelming so I’ve kept my card fairly simple but still making a bit of a wow!

Supplies used to create today’s card –

Stamp Set – Timeless Tulips

Inks – Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo

Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow

DSP – Daffodil Afternoon

Embellishments – From my Heart Faceted Gems

Need supplies to create today’s project at home?  Click on this link to shop in my Online Store.  Don’t forget to use March Host Code – 2K3JMJZR –  if your order is under $250.   All orders receive a Handmae Thank You Card.  You will also receive a PDF Tutorial, the March DSP Card Kit  when spending over $50 PLUS & a small gift when spending over $90.  Please note that there is only one small PDF Tutorial, Gift & Kit per customer per month.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Stamping!

Blossoms in Blooms

G’Day Stampers,

Thanks for dropping by today.

Last Sunday I had a friend over for the arvo & we played with a few of her new products including the gorgeous Blossoms in Bloom Bundle. I knew what I had wanted to create as soon as I saw this Bundle in the new Catalogue & this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

We swiped Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point & Melon Mambo Inks onto a piece of Window Sheet & sprized heaps of water over the top with our Stampin’ Spritzers. We then laid a piece of Shimmer White Cardstock over the top & sploshed it around to pick up the colour. You could also use Watercolour Paper if you wish.

Once dry, we then die cut it with the Many Layered Blossoms Dies prior to adhering to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. A piece of Whisper White Cardstock was die cut with the outline die & adhered over the top of the die cut sploshed flowers.

This was then layered onto a piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock before adhering to Thick Whisper White Base Card.

The sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink onto Whisper White, cute back to size & shape prior to adhering to the Card Front with Stampin’ DImenisonals.

To finish it off we then tied a small bow from the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon & adhered to the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot.

This Bundle is now on my wish list as I have so many ideas but of course, can’t put them into action until I purchase the Bundle.

Thanks for a lovely arvo Marnie.

Back on Your Feet

Today’s card is one that was created some time ago but never got to share with you.  It is Back-on-Your-Feet-1ausing the cute little set – “Back on Your Feet“!  I’ve combined it with a Dutch Fold.  I think that is what it is called!  It has been adjusted to suit the Australian size card.

I teamed the stamp set up with the gorgeous Mosaic Mood Speciality DSP which I think sites the image.  The lovely little sloth has been coloured with Watercolour Pencils.

Hang in There

I’ve had a bit of a play with one of the 2016 SAB sets – “Honeycomb Happiness“.  This is 002ewm-blogsuch a cute little set with lots of possibilities.

I did start to case a card from the current Catalogue, but it sort of went off on its own, although I am happy with it.

I wanted my chick to look like it was poking it’s head out from behind a hole in the wall which is why I embossed the card with the Brick EF & added a circle around the chick.

I’ve used my Blender Pens to colour the Chick & Balloon Images.  I also applied Clear Wink of Stella, although you can’t see it in the photo.  It is very hard to capture a good photo of the lovely soft shimmer & sparkle it adds to your cards.

To grab your tutorial, please click on the link above the photo.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Card in a Box

A couple of weeks ago I had a request to create a card for someone who was in hospital.  Janet especially asked for the type I012wm-blog had given her for her birthday.  Mind you, I had to put my thinking cap on as to what one she was talking about.

After talking for a few minutes, I was told the lady loved singing, was a member of a local Musical Group, had written about 60 songs & could paly a couple of instruments.  After hearing how talented this lady was, it could only be one type of card.  One with lots of music notes, etc  & somehow include flowers.

Not only had it to be a Card in a Box, but big enough for about 20 people to sign, so I sat myself down & played around until I was happy with a template that fitted into an A4 Envelope (Aus).  There are heaps of tutorials on how to create these cards, but none the size I wanted.

For the back, I adhered a Treble Clef to a piece of Whisper White Card – enough room for everyone to sign or write a small message.

For the notes, I printed them direct onto Whisper White Card & fussy cut them 001a-wm-bloguntil I thought I had enough.  My piano keys were created by drawing lines with the Basic Black Marker, punched so many pieces of Basic Black Card using the Word Window Punch, cut off the tops & adhered to the Whisper White Card.  Not being  musical person, I had to actually check out the layout of a piano prior to adhering my keys (I did learn the piano when a kid, would you believe).

After adhering all my notes & flowers I decided it looked a little funny so I took the flowers down & cut some grass from Old Olive Card using the Fringe Scissors.  I then repositioned the flowers along the top of the piano & a couple throughout.  Much better!  The flowers 011wm-blogwere cut from Real Red & Daffodil Delight Card by running through the Big Shot using the Blossom Party Originals Die (Retired).

On the back of the card I typed “Wishing you a Speedy Recovery” & left it blank so that there would be more room for messages & signing.

I’m really happy with the card, especially the pops of Red & yellow.  Janet said the Music Group couldn’t believe it when they saw it – they loved it!  I only hope the lady that received it loved it too.

Would love to know what you think?

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky

Today’s card is one we will be creating in my Volunteer Class this afternoon.

It does use one of my favourite retired stamp sets, but that is the beauty about my Volunteer Class – I get to play with some of my retired products again.  The card can easily be recreated with current products.
