Easy DIY Christmas Card Using Enchanting Chrismas Collection

G’Day Friends,

Creating Christmas cards are the perfect time to slow down and share a bit of handmade joy. If you’re looking for a simple yet stunning way to spread cheer this season, creating your own Christmas cards is a wonderful place to start.  And the secret ingredient?  Enchanting Christmas Collection!

This is also the Collection Robbie & I will be using for our Christmas in July Super Saturday.

Throughout June, we’re sharing lots of easy & quick projects on our blogs, YouTube channels & even more ideas & inspiration in our Newsletters.

How to Make It –

  1. Pick Your Star Paper
Choose 2 sheets of Enchanting Christmas Paper that will set the tone.  Maybe it’s a cozy plaid, a snowy village scene, or elegant gold foil stars.
  2. Create a Focal Point
Cut a rectangle or oval from your paper and layer it on your white layer.  Use Dimensional Tape if you want to add dimension.
  3. Add Embellishments
Layer on ribbon, add a festive sticker, or glue on some tiny buttons for a charming handmade feel.  A mini bow instantly ups the cute factor!
  4. Write or Stamp a Holiday Greeting
“Merry Christmas,” “Warm Wishes,” or even just “Joy” works perfectly.  Handwritten messages add a personal touch, but sentiment sheets or stamps make it quick and polished.
  5. Add a Little Sparkle
adding embellishment or a touch of glitter glue around the edges or a dash of metallic pen goes a long way in making your card feel extra special.

Crafting with Steampunk Floral Papers

G’Day Friends,

Today’s project has been created with the Freebies – Steampunk Floral Papers – that Janette from Crafting Dragon Design releases each month.  They have been used as part of my Design Team Project.  Be sure to check out Janette’s Esty Shop by clicking on the link.

Steampunk is often associated with brass, rivets and retro-futuristic machinery — but pair it with the softness of floral designs and something magical happens.  It’s Victorian science fiction meets English garden.  In saying that, I’ve only used 1 sheet of the papers that were released to create a really pretty fun fold with lots of roses being showcased.

To highlight the lovely soft colours in the papers, I’ve teamed it up with a soft grey.  Sepia tones, Copper, Faded Greens and Dusty Pinks would work a treat with these papers too.

The wriggley black lines above on the White Mat were added at a later stage as I thougt it needed a little bit more to highlight the lovely paper even more.
