Thinking of You at Christmas

Today’s card is our 2nd card we created last Sunday.  I am loving this card & thankfully the ladies did too.  They especially loved how you can use your ornaments to create an entirely different card.

Again we used the Delicate Ornament & Embellished Ornaments Bundle.  While creating this card, I suddenly realised that there was a small flower in the middle of one of the Ornaments – thank you Stampin’ Up!.  We stamped the image a couple of times in Real Red for the flowers & again in Old Olive for the leaves before fussy cutting the images & layering on top of each other.  I love to use my stamps different ways & love to show the ladies the same.

We actually coloured the Rhinestones with a Yellow Permanent Marker.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Merry Christmas

We played with the Delicate Ornament Dies & Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set Bundle last Sunday in our Technique Class.  The ladies absolutely loved the cards.  I am in 2 minds about these cards that I am showing you today.  As I created a silver & gold card – couldn’t decide which I liked better, I let them choose the colour they preferred.

The cards were basically cased from the Holiday Catalogue, Page 14 but with my own touches added to them.  In fact, most of our products used to create our cards are from the Catalogue.

Be sure to pop back in a couple of days & I’ll show you our 2nd card from the same class.

Until next time Happy Stampin’

Technique Card # 2…

G’day Stampers,

Today’s post is the 2nd card we did in our Technique Class last Sunday.  We had a play with the Aqua Painter, Re-Inkers & the Shimmery Card.027a

It is taken from one I saw on Pinterest a little while ago. I did a couple of minor changes including the colours.  This is my version of the “Gatefold Latch Card“.  I had never created one of these cards previously, but somehow I think I will be doing more of them.

The ladies loved both cards we created which always gives me a great feeling.  It is great to hear that they love their cards as sometimes you try & create them, never knowing if they are going to over well or not.

Of course, as with all card classes, especially Technique Class, no 2 cards ever end up the same.  I love how this happens.  We all start our with the same kit, but end up with entirely different results.

This card will be the 2nd card repeated for one of the Technique classes next month, so be sure to check back next week to see the dates this class will be held in July, by clicking onto the “Classes” Page.

Elements of Style….

Inside Card…

…was one of the stamp sets we used on our Cracked GlassTechnique Class a couple of weeks ago.  This technique gave such a lovely aged effect to the whole stamp set & card that we did a little bit of sponging as well.  I used the current challenge (at the time) from Sunny Challenges & Creations to create our card.

The classes are held every 2nd Sunday afternoon from 1.00pm to whenever we happen to finish.

I am really enjoying the classes as it is getting me out of my comfort zone & also using different stamps, along with colours & styles.  I think it is important when doing classes that you cater for everyone’s likes, not just your own.

Until next time, have a great week of Stampin’

SC 053/12….

Our challenge this week has been set by Gwen.  It is a great chance to create those Birthday Cards that are always so handy to have in our stash.

For my card I used the Stamp Set – Elements of Style, along with the set from SAB – Elementary Elegance & of course, the mtching Frame to go with the Stamp Set – Four Frames…..
Now, for my card, I’ve killed 2 birds with the one stone!  I also used the challenge to create one of the cards that we are creating in our Technique Class today – Cracked Glass!
Don’t forget to pop on over to Sunny Challenges & Creations to check out what Gwen, Kris, Christine & Kathryn have created.  We would love to see what you can come up with using the challenge above.
Until next time, Happy Stampin!
