Stampin’ Up! Petal Park Colour Combination

G’Day Friends,

It’s a new month which means Robbie & myself have a new theme where we’re playing with Colour Combinations.

Now, I will admit that I love playing with colour combos but when put on the spot, I think my mind goes into panic mode.

I wasn’t too sure where I was gonna start with my card except that I wanted to use something that has been sitting on my shelf neglected. Out come the Petal Park Stamp Set along with the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set.

I then decided to emboss the Basic White with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder to add even more dimenion. Then while creating the card, I had a light bulb moment to add small splatters of Pretty Peacock with the Pretty Peacock Stampn’ Write Marker.The Basic White circle has been die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies. This set of Dies are fantastic & can see myself using them for more & more projects. They would be just perfect for scrapbooking too.

Stampin’ Up Garden Walk DSP Beginner Card for new Sketch Layout

G’Day Friends,

Welcome to a new week AND a new Sketch Layout.

Today’s layout & card is so perfect for the Beginner Stamper. It’s easy to follow without being too involved with layers. Clean & simple are ones that I love creating.

As I wanted to keep the layout true to it’s original clean & simple look, I decided to use a small piece of the Garden Walk 6 x 6 DSP from the new Mini Catalogue.

The biggest problem I had was deciding on what sentiment to use. Then it hit me – the sentiment from the So Sincere Stamp Set is so perfect for this card. I love the fonts & sentiments in this set. Be sure to check it out.

After adhering the DSP to the Basic White layer, I then scored a couple of lines with the Paper Trimmer down either side to give it a little interest. To add even more interest, splatters of Pretty Peacock were randomly added with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker.

Pecan Pie Ink was used to stamp the sentiment prior to adhering to a Pretty Peacock Base Card. It was finished off by randomly adhering 3 x Pecan Pie Opaque Dots to the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Inked & Tiled Stepped Up Card

G’Day Friends,

Today is the Stepped-Up version of our Sketch Layout.

Once again I’ve gone for the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set, along with the Inked Botalnicals 6 x 6 DSP. There is just something about this set that I love.

Have you noticed I’ve rotated the layout to suit what I had in mind when creating my card. I’ve also used my Stampin’ Write Markers – Calypso Coral & Lost Lagoon – to colour the flower image. Gotta love our Markers!

It’s been finished off with a couple of the Champagne Sparkle Gems. I love these little Gems!

All About Autumn Specialty DSP Stepped Up Version

G’Day Friends,

Thank you for popping by today. It is very much appreciated.

Once again my card today has been created with the same layout that we used on Sunday but this time it is stepped up just a little.

Be sure to head on over to Robbie’s log to see what she has created using the same sketch. We never know what the other is creating which tends to make it a little more interesting.

Again, I’ve gone with the lovely All About Autumn Specialty DSP. I am loving the fact that these papers can be used for all occasions, not to mention the gorgeous Gold Foil on the opposite sides. Look at that background below, doesn’t it look a little bit like water? Of course, I had to go with the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set to create with.

The colours of Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla & Early Espresso go so well together, don’t you think? A little bit out of my comfort zone but hey, that can be as good thing.

July Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop

Welcome to our July Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop. Thank you for dropping by.

This month our focus is all about the lovely Inked & Tiled Bundle which is Page 94 of the Annual Catalogue.

You may be starting with me – Vicky Wright, Australia – or you may have come from another blog. Either way, I hope you enjoy our projects we have to share with you today.

I’ve kept my card fairly simple today as I wanted the focus to be on the stamp from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set. Isn’t it just gorgeous?

To create my card, a piece of the Inked Botanicals DSP was adhered to a Thick Very Vanilla Base Card. The image has been coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers. The stem & leaves are Lost Lagoon while the flowers are Calypso Coral.

The sentiment is from the same set & stamped direct onto Very Vanilla with Lost Lagoon Ink. It was die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. To break the tone on tone, a small stitched Lost Lagoon banner was die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies prior to being adhered behind the Very Vanilla circle & popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish it off, a couple of Basic Pearls, which I haven’t used for so long were randomly adhered to the stamped panel. A small bow was tied with a piece of Linen Thread & adhered to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
