Pooh Bear | Hundred Acre Collection | Kat Scrappiness

G’Day Crafty Friends,

I’m back today with another Kat Scrappiness Creative Affiliate project and this one might be extra special because it features the sweetest little Pooh Bear.  I mean… who doesn’t love that honey-loving cutie?

I wanted this card to feel warm, soft and cozy — like a big hug in paper form — so I mixed a little colouring, pattern papers and lots of die-cut shapes to bring it all together.

Colouring the Image

I started by colouring Pooh with my alcohol markers.  These are my favourite for smooth blends and soft shading.

I kept the colours classic:

  • golden yellows for his fur
  • that signature red shirt
  • soft shadows to add depth and dimension

Supplies – Kat Scrappiness

Finishing Touches

Once everything was layered up, this card just felt so cheerful and nostalgic.  Pattern paper + colouring + dies is truly one of my favourite combos — and Pooh just makes everything extra sweet.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope this project inspires you to pull out your markers and play with your paper stash.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

The Paper Funday January Challenge | Sketch Layout

G’Day Friends,

Welcome to 2026 & to our very first the Paper Funday Challenges of the year.  Our sponsors this month are Taylored Expressions and Sweet November Stamps.

As usual we always have a twist for all our challenges & this month is a sketch layout.  Oh, I love my sketches.  I’ve created a clean and simple card keeping the design minimal and calming, letting the seashell images and soft colouring take centre stage.

Clean & Simple Design

For this card, I focused on lots of white space and a straightforward layout.  A single focal panel sits on the card base, keeping the overall design uncluttered and easy on the eyes.  Clean & simple cards are some of my favourites because they highlight the details without feeling busy.

Seashell Focal Cluster

The seashells are the star of the card.  I coloured them with alcohol markers in soft neutrals, adding gentle shading for dimension.  Keeping the colouring light helps maintain the clean & simple style while still adding depth and dimension to the images.  A loose cluster of shells overlaps the focal panel, creating movement and visual interest.  A small sentiment banner off-centre finishes the design.

Supply List

  • Seashells Stamp Set & Dies – Pretty Pink Posh
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Lemon Lolly cardstock – Stampin’ Up!
  • Copic Markers
  • Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
  • Embellishment
  • Stitched Shapes Dies – Stampin’ Up!

Finishing Touches

To finish the card, I added a small sentiment that complements the simple design without overpowering it.  Three small white embellishment have been added to the circle so as not to overtake the shells & colouring.

Final Thoughts

This project was a great reminder that combining a sketch layout, simple colouring and  embossing can result in a timeless design.  Seashells add a peaceful, elegant touch that feels right year-round.

Thanks so much for stopping by today – I hope this inspires you to pull out your markers and embossing folders and give this sketch a try!

The Paper Funday Challenge – Changing Seasons

G’Day Friends,

Our sponsors for this month’s Paper Funday Challenge are Alex Syberia & Newton’s Nook.

I’ve gone for the twist – Changing Seasons!

Why Seasons?

Seasons mark transitions.  They’re nature’s way of reminding us that nothing stays the same forever.  From the fresh greens of spring to the cozy hues of autumn, every shift brings new moods, textures and inspirations.

The Challenge

  1. Pick a Season – Choose one that speaks to you right now.  Maybe you’re basking in summer’s brightness or craving the calm of winter.  We’re into our first days of spring down under.

  2. Paper Play – Create something that reflects that season.  It could be –

    • A snowflake for winter

    • A blooming flower for spring

    • A collage of summer sunsets

    • A leaf for autumn

How to Join –

  1. Create your project using an image from either Alex Syberia or Netwon’s Nook or go for the twist – changing seasons

  2. Upload your entry before the deadline

So grab your supplies & let’s get creating.  We can’t wait to see what you make!

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!
