Technique Class….

I’m a little behind in posting the cards we have been doing at our Technique Class.  These have been running every 2nd Sunday arvo at the Caloundra Community Centre.  I am really enjoying them as it has gotten me out of my comfort zone & my thinking cap on as I try to cater for the tastes of everyone, while at the same time creating cards that are a little bit different.

Each week we do one card that has a different fold & one standard card while still having fun doing our techniques.

This card was using the Acetate & Tissue Technique.  Combined with some Christmas DSP & a faithful stamp set that I don’t think you can beat – Lovely as a Tree and you have a great Christmas Card

Thank You Box…

This box was created as part of the current Sunny Challenges & Creations – SC020/11 challenge.  The challenge is to share something Chrissy – 3-D, Gifts, Cards, Scrapbooking or in fact, anything you like with a Christmas Theme.

I also created it for my cousin who took me to the ballet last week to see “Swan Lake“.  Absolutely fantastic.  Those dancers are so very talented, fit & brilliant!

The best part is that one of the dancers was approached by the director to perform for the Qld Ballet Company.  His mum is over the moon!!!!!  His older brother & younger sister are both dancers as well.
After creating my box, I decorated it with the DSP – Letters to Santa, added a sentiment & tied a ribbon around the top to keep it closed.  I filled the box with yummy yummy chocolates….

I created this little bag sometime ago – original may be found in this post  It is one that Frenchie did a video for & have always kept it in the back of my mind wanting to use it again.
This was the perfect opportunity for the little bag…
I made 2 of each colour & filled them with yummy chocolates for the crew at the Caloundra Community Centre.  No-one was around Friday when I dropped them in, so I hope they find them & enjoy the chocolates.

SC 020…

This week Kris set the challenge over at Sunny Challenges & Creations & it is all about “Christmas“.

With everyone’s busy schedule this time of year, you have 2 weeks to complete this challenge.

The challenge is to share something Chrissy – 3-D, Gifts, Cards, Scrapbooking or in fact, anything you like with a Christmas Theme.

So come on everyone, grab that stampin’ stuff & start stampin’, creating or even baking!!!!!

My sample has been around in blog land for a long time now, but I wanted to create something for blokes that I didn’t have to spend much time on & easy to fill once I had created it.  Not to mention, easy for them to get into too.

This bag is full of Chocolates ready for Christmas Day – Fingers crossed they will last that long with me around as I am my own worse enemy with chocolate around.

Once I created my box for the bottom, I cut my DSP & wrapped it around the bottom of the box.

I cut a strip of Old Olive Cardstock, punched one long side using the Scallop Edge Punch, added a bit of Faux Stitching with my Gel Pen & again wrapped it around the bottom of the box.

I punched 2 pieces of Old Olive Cardstock using the Round Tab Punch, applied Faux Stitching around the edges, punched a hole in each tab using my Crop-a-Dile & adhered one each side to the top of the bag.

After I filled it with Chocolates, I tied 3 pieces of ribbon though the top.

The greeting was stamped direct onto Whisper White Cardstock using Old Olive Ink & adhered to the centre of the bag.

A really easy & quick project.
