Holly Berry Christmas…

Holly-Berry-Hapiness---Clos

… meets “Christmas in the Making” which is on Page 16 of the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.  I love it when I can get multiple uses from my stamps.

I actually love the “Feeling of Christmas” on the same page but left it too late for my order Holly-Berry-Happiness---Insto arrive in time for the class, so I set about trying to recreate the card on Page 17 of the Catalogue using one of my sets in my stash.  I think I did it, although a little different, but different is good!

My card today is one of the 2 we created in our “Cards @ Toogoom” class.  I am happy to say the ladies loved it!

The Crumb Cake CS has been embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF while the wreath has been coloured & blended with Old Olive Ink & my Blender Pen.

Daisy Crate

G’Day Stampers,

Until I am back into the swing of things I am keeping today’s post very short but I am sharing with you a couple of gifts I created using the “Wood Crate” Framelits, Page 212 of the 2017 Annual Catalogue.

I did these for a Expo I attended a couple of weeks ago & much to my surprise they proved very popular, especially to the kids.  I say this because I don’t usually do this sort of thing but I do think they were such a hit because they may have been a little different.

I stamped the Hardwood Background Stamp onto a piece of Night of Navy CS in Night of Navy Ink & die cut it with the Wood Crate Frameit by running the Big Shot.

I stamped 2 daisy images onto a piece of Whisper White CS in Daffodil Delight, punched with the corresponding Daisy Punch, adhered together & then adhered to the front of the crate.

I embellished the middle with a Gold Faceted Gem.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Global Stamping Friends Anniversary Blog Hop

Floral-Phrases---Close-Up

Today I am taking part in an Anniversary Blog Hop happening over at Global Stamping Friends which is a group of Demonstrators from all around the world.  We are celebrating 12 months since the group started & boy has it grown!

For the special Anniversary Hop our theme is ANNIVERSARY of course!logo

I was so undecided as to what I was going to use & how to create my card that I ended up totally confused, so I decided to keep it simple with lots of white.

The past week or so I have been experimenting  with my inks & stamps, trying new ways of stamping & colouring.  My image was inspired by a card sitting on my desk which I will share with you sometime in the future once it has been finished.

My image is from the “Floral Phrases” Stamp Set which was inked using Pink Pirouette & Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers & stamped direct onto a piece of Whisper White CS.  I then grabbed my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker, scribbled colour onto a Block & picking up small amounts of colour at a time with a Blender Pen, coloured over areas of the Pink Pirouette.  I repeated the same technique for the leaves using Wild Wasabi Ink.  I think it brings the flower to life.

Floral-Phrases---InsideThe flower was die cut with the oval shape from the Stitched Shape Framelits by running through the Big Shot.  As I wanted my card to be mostly all white, I decided to add a small scallop Whisper White frame behind the oval so I die cut another piece of Whisper White CS using the Layering Ovals Framelits & running through the Big Shot.  This piece was adhered to the stamped oval.

I embossed a piece of Whisper White CS with the Softly Falling EF before layering onto the Base Card – Flirty Flamingo.  The oval shape was adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the “Beautiful Bouquet” Stamp Set.  I thought it suited the card & blog hop perfectly.  It was stamped onto scrap Whisper White CS in Flirty Flamingo, cut each end into a Banner Shape & adhered to the bottom of the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card.  Be sure to check out all the other wonderful creations joining the blog hop.

Kylie’s International Highlights

The past month seems to have flown as it is that time when once again I am playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights.

This month the theme is “Teacher’s Gifts“.  I don’t have any need for these gifts, but it is lovely to create something different & be out of your comfort one at the same time.

Not sure of what is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.

Vote for Me HereWhat is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other talented successful demonstrators.

What do I do?  All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.  I’m #5!

My project today is actually one that I created for one of my “Creative Classes” using theDeliightful-Daisy-Post-It-NDelightful Daisy” Suite.  This Suite is my all time favourite from the Annual Catalogue but haven’t really showcased any of the cards I’ve created.  I sometimes remember AFTER I’ve mailed the cards that I hadn’t taken any photos.

I think Post-It Note Holders are always very handy, so while creating my holder, I thought I would do something a little different & turn it into the shape of a “bag”.  The handle has been created using the gorgeous Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon.  Don’t you love it?

Seeing as though the ‘bag” was so cute, I thought it would be lovely to have a matching Delightful-Daisy-Cardcard to go with the gift, so out came the Suite once again.  I’m glad I did, as I am a little happy with the final result.

The gorgeous Petal Burst EF has been used both on the bag & the card – not sure if you can easily see it.  It finished the projects off perfectly.

I am loving the coordinating little “bag” & the card.  I do hope you do too.

Be sure to check out all the other lovely creations when you pop on over to Kylie’s Blog .  Don’t forget to go & vote for the ones you love & leave them a little love!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Have a Cozy Christmas

On Saturday, we had a bit of a Play Day with some of the ladies from our Technique Class as well as my volunteer class.  It Rose-wmwas a fun day & all went home with a couple of Christmas Cards, Box & Gift Bag of goodies.

Everyone who came along had to create a card, 3-d project or something that would be quick, easy & fun.  Amazing how we all start out with the same kit but all end up with different looks.

In fact, they are asking when the next one will be.  I intend on holding more of these next year plus all day workshops, but more on that at a later day.

Our first card was created by Rose & this is my interpretation of it.  We used the new “Hearth & Home” Dies, “Wonderland” & “Cozy Christmas” Stamp Sets plus the lovely “Softly Falling” EF.  The only thing I have done is use Blackberry Bliss CS & the trees from “Wonderland” Stamp Set.  This is Rose’s card above.

To create your own card, please click on the link above the card.

Don’t forget to pop back in a couple of days for more of our creations.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
