Bag of Cards

I created this bag some time ago for a set of cards. It will fit 4 standard size Australian size cards. I did see something familiar on Pinterest or via Google I am not too sure now. Of course, when I went looking for it to give credit, I am unable to find it as I didn’t save it either. I do know that when I saw the photo I had to have a go at recreating it to suit our size cards.

Today’s Bag & cards use my favourite DSP – Polka Dot Parade which I am really going to miss.  The set of cards was actually one of my August Monthly Kits using the lovely little, but oh so versatile Stamp Set – Summer Silhouettes.

I do have instructions for the bag, but first I have to find them & will post in a couple of days along with another sample.

Petal Parade…

In our SAB Classes for February & March, we used the stamp set “Petal Parade” along with the gorgeous DSP – Sweet Sorbet.  Today’s card has been done with the Envelope Punch Board.  The ladies were amazed at how versatile this little board is.  So many options, so little time!

Out with a Bang…

Belle – My little helper for the day!

It is a lovely overcast day here which means I have a helper sitting on my desk.  Actually, I often move her little bed to the desk where she likes to have her morning sleep before getting up & going outside for a couple of hours.

It was our last class for the year with Crafty Creations & we decided to go “out with a bang” – so to speak!

As well as having a small Christmas break up, we also created this great Christmas Cracker which can filled with lots of little goodies.  Mine has been created especially for one of my niece – Ash which I will fill with chocolates as she is mad on the stuff,  must take after me!

It is light enough that I will be able to hang it from the tree.  I now to have to create another for Sarah.

I found a great little tutorial from Sara.  I did change it a little as I made it a little longer on the edges as I wanted to punch them to give it a little bit more of a different look.

As I am waiting on my order & knowing the image would be too big anyhow, I decided to use the Santa image from “Santa’s List” using MDS.  This way, I could still colour him the exact colours I wanted AND also reduce him to the exact size I wanted.  Gotta love that!

This project also fits our current challenge over at Sunny Challenges where we have to create something for the Christmas Season.

 Supplies –
Stamp Set – Santa’s List – MDS
Cardstock – Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Punches – 1 1/4″ Circle, 1 3/8″Circle, Scallop Circle, Pinking Hearts Border – Retired
DSP – Season of Style
Accessories – Gel Pen – White, Sticky Strip, Simply Scoring Too, Envelope Punch Board
Ribbon – Non-SU!

Christmas Greetings….

Our 1st card in our Technique Class last Sunday was using the gorgeous Stamp Set – Joyful Christmas with the beautiful technique “Stained Class“.

We also got to play a little with the Envelope Punch Board & created a File Card which seems to be all the rage at the moment.

I always try & plan my classes around the ladies & what they like.  It gets me out of my comfort zone.  The ladies loved this technique & the card – which is always a good thing.
