Before we get into today’s project, I thought I would let you know that I now have a separate page for all my free card & project tutorials.  It is a work in progress so please bear with me.  You can find the ones already uploaded HERE.

Once again I have another project to share with you created with the lovely & bright Ultraviolet Delight Collection by Uniquely Creative.

Mother’s Day Card | Soft Pastel Colours

G’Day Crafty Friends,

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I thought I would share a couple of cards I’ve created over the next couple of weeks.

There’s something quietly powerful about a card that speaks simplicity — where black and white set the stage and gentle pastel tones whisper the rest.  This Mother’s Day, I wanted to create something that reflects just that – strength, softness and the beauty found in thoughtful details.

The foundation of the card begins with a crisp white embossed base layered against a layer of black.  This contrast creates a timeless elegance.

To soften the monochrome palette, a soft & delicate banner was added down the left side.  This piece was actually a scrap from the pack of pattern paper & set the tone for the card.

Hand-punched daisies in white are simple & timeless!  Who else loves daisies?

The white embossed punched leaf adds texture and depth, catching the light just enough to create movement without overwhelming the design.

To finish, a soft pink embellishment ties everything together.  It’s a small detail, but one that draws the eye and completes the card.

Ultraviolet Delight Collection | One for the Purple Lover

G’Day Crafty Friends,

There’s something undeniably magical about purple – it holds both calm and creativity, softness and strength.  This collection, Ultraviolet Delight, is a small celebration of that feeling, wrapped into a series of All Occasions cards.

Each card began with layers of pattern paper in varying shades of violet, lavender and deep plum.  Mixing tones creates a quiet richness – never too bold, but never flat.  It’s the kind of palette that feels both thoughtful and expressive, perfect for any occasion.

The Ephemera pieces were actually fussy cut from one of the paper pieces from the Collection.  I love it when we have so many options to choose from.  They always complement rather than compete – soft florals, faded labels, delicate textures.

The Ribbon adds a finishing touch that feels almost like a signature – softly tied, slightly imperfect and full of charm.  It brings everything together with a gentle sense of care.

This collection is for the purple lovers – the ones who find beauty in depth, in softness, in quiet expression.
