Boys ….

Overalls were a huge hit the other day at the Community Centre.  We had a lot of fun creating these & everyone of them turned out so very different.

I’ve seen these around the blog world & in magazines, so thought I would have a go myself.  Mind you, I started from scratch and didn’t go by a pattern or template.

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Hoppy for You (Retired) – but I had to use it, as this card was screaming for it!!!!
Ink – Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade
Cardstock – Whisper White, Pacific Point
Accessories – Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, White Gel Pen
Non-SU – Buttons

Sorry it is only a short post as I am on the way out the door for my day at the centre & as usual running late.

Happy Stampin’

So Hoppy 4 U…

I created this card for the class we had at the Community Centre yesterday.  All our cards turned out different, but using the same technique & colours.  It also qualifies for the Latenight Stampers challenge.

Base Card – Pacific Point – 5 1/8″ x 7″ or 13cm x 17.5cm – score at 4 1/4″ or 10.5cm
Layer 1 – DSP – 7″ x 1 3/4″ or 13cm x 4 1/2 cm
Layer 2 – Whisper White – 5″ x 2 5/8″ or 13cm x 6.5cm
Layer 3 – Real Red – 3 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ or 9cm x 6.5cm
Layer 4 – Whisper White – 3 3/8″ x 2 1/4″ or 8.5cm x 6cm

I adhered the DSP to the RHS of the base card.  I then punched out several stars onto Whisper White Cardstock using the small Star Punch & large Star Punch.  Using a sponge & Pear Pizzazz Ink, I sponged the stars lightly.  I randomly adhered these to the Whisper White Cardstock before taking my Square Lattice Embossing Floder & running it through the Bigshot.  This is called “Inlaid Embossing”.  This piece was then adhered to the top of the Base Card.

Taking my Chocolate Chip Ink, I stamped the log onto the small piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  I used the same colour to stamp the flies randomly onto the same card.  I stamped the frog using Pear Pizzazz Ink & the greeting using Real Red Ink.
The Whisper White Cardstock was the adhered to Real Red Cardstock & adhered to the Base Card.  I stamped the fly image onto a couple of small stars & adhered these to the card.

Another challenge, another card…..  This time a Colour Challenge….

My first instinct was to go for “Inspired by Nature” Stamp Set & of course, seeing the frog there, I had to include that too, which is where “Hoppy for You” comes into it!  A great Stamp Set for kids!

I also included the Technique “Sponged Clouds”
