Note Cards…

… are one thing I do use a lot of.  It seems everytime I turn around, I am just about out of them & find it is time to create more.

For this lot, I thought I would try something a little different.  I have been cleaning out my cardstock & putting all my bits & pieces in their rightful home, when I come across a couple of small pieces of Acetate.  So instead of tossing it out, I thought“why not“.  Grabbed the Stamp Set French Foliage which was still sitting on my desk from 2 projects ago & decided to go with the Regals Collection seeing as though we are in Autumn in Australia.

For my cards I used Night of Navy, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Bravo Burgundy, Elegant Eggplant, & Always Artichoke Cardstock as my outer layers.  I must apologise I don’t have the measurements, as they have been used & posted.  They will fit the Australian size C6 or 11B envelopes with the coloured Cardstock measuing 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.

I randomly cut all 6 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock donw the left hand side,so that I had 2 pieces of Card & ensuring I still had room to write on the cards once they were all put together.

I randomly stamped the pieces of Acetate with Staz-On Ink.  When stamping onto Acetate, stamp very carefully so as not to let the stamp slip or slide.  I set each piece aside allowing to dry & prior to cutting.

Once dry, I cut the Acetate into 1″ strips & adhered to the pieces of Whisper White Cardstock before adhering to the Coloured Cardstock.

Wow, when I read that, they would of taken me all up 5 minutes.  Believe me, they took a little longer than that!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’!

Note Cards…

I had to quickly make a couple of cards the other day.  I love these for notes to friends or customers.

I decided to use the current “IN Colours” & Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set, along with my Aqua Painter.  This is the end result.

Coloured Card – 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White Card – 3 3/8″ x 5 3/8″
I stamped the images onto Whisper White using my Versamark Ink Pad.  After applying White Embossing Powder over the images, I heated these with my Heat Tool.
I then decided to colour the flower images using my Aqua Painter & to match the inks with the “In Colour” Cardstock
Once dry, I adhered the Whisper White to the Coloured Card Stock.
All in all, a great way to create some quick cards.  In fact, they were posted the same day & now it is back to the drawing board for more ideas.

Hello Again….

Hello Again….
How many of us say this greeting without realising it!  Well I’ve just used that exact stamp set from the NEW SU Summer Mini Catalogue.  This time, I’ve created a couple of small note cards which I am making for a friend to use as quick notes….
Here goes…
Side On…
Supplies –
Stamp Set – Hello Again
Card Stock – Blue Pacific, Very Vanilla
Ink – Kiwi Kiss, Blue Pacific
Accessories – Anywhere Glue Stick, Crystal Effects, Stampin’ Write Markers – Bold Brights

I cut around the butterfly, including cutting off it’s anntenna and adhered body to card uing “Crystal Effects”.  I then used the “Stampin’ Write Markers”, to draw antennas on again.
Saves heaps of time trying to cut around those tricky little things!
This Stamp Set “Hello Again” even comes with a matching Whell – “Retro Remix“.
I am going to use both the stamp set & wheel for our next Scrapbook meting
These run on Friday Nights from 7.30 – 10.30 on the last Friday of the Month.
if you would like to attend, please me for the details!
Enjoy
Vicky

A Note to Say….

I’ve just completed a set of 4 Thank You Cards – very easy, basic but a better look than just a plain piece of paper.  Have a look yourselves & see what you think!

Today’s Project…

Hi Friends,
I have been having little plays again & come up with a little pressie for a friend.  I know she doesn’t look on here, so am safe to post.
The only part of the project is the stamp set “Just Beachy” from Stampin’ Up! but I just love the paper, which I have had sitting in my supplies for about a month now & thought it time it got used.
2010 Calendar
Note Cards
Calendar, Box & Cards
This little calendar is in the shape of a card, but will stand on your desk by itself.  I have used one for years & always make myself one each year.  I also made a lot for little xmas pressies this year.
I have also made little envelopes to match the note cards, but you are unable to see them in the picture.
Enjoy
