Dani…

This week sees my neices 24th birthday!  So young!

Dannielle loves red & green, so I thought I would add just a touch of red & leave the remainder of the card black.  I did know that I just wanted to create a CAS card – Clean & Simple, my favourite!  What better way to do this type of card than to use “Pocket Silhouettes” – great stamp set!

Base Card – Whisper White – 5 7/8″ x  4 1/4″ or 15cm x 10.5cm

I stamped the images from Pocket Silhouettes using Basic Black Ink.  Using my Real Red Ink, I randomly stamped images over the Basic Black.

I then grabbed my Black Marker & drew a line around the edge of the card, leaving a space so that I could adhere 3 Rhinestones.  I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Ink.

I coloured the Rhinestones with my Real Red Marker & adhered them to my card.  I applied a little Crystal Effects over the top of each so that the colour would set.

A very basic card which took all of 5 minutes – once I knew what I wanted to do.

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Pocket Silhouettes, Well Scripted
Ink – Basic Black, Real Red
Cardstock – Whisper White
Accessories – Basic Black Marker, Real Red Marker, Tombow Glue, Rhinestones

Check back tomorrow arvo when I will post the card I am making for Amber.

Until then, Enjoy!

Thanks so Much…

I would like to say a very big Thank You for all your lovely comments for the card I made yesterday  It has been overwhelming & did not expect anyone to take any notice of it, let alone comment, but I LOVED them – haha

Today’s card is for the Colour Challenge over at UDI  The colours shout “Spring!”  I know we are in the middle of summer, but hey the colours are beautiful, so of course I had to give it a go.  I will say, it did take me some time to figure out how I was going to create my card, only knowing that I wanted to use Shimmer Paint.

Cut base card using Concord Crush Cardstock
2nd Layer – Very Vanilla Cardstock & run through Bigshot using Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
3rd layer – Always Artichoke – 4″ x 3″ or 10cm x 7.5cm
4th Layer – Perfect Plum – 3 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ or 9.5cm x 7cm
5th Layer – Very Vanilla – 3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ or 9cm x 6.5cm
Using Shimmer Paint – Frost White, randomly rub over Very Vanilla Cardstock & let dry
With Always Artichoke, Concord Crush & Perfect Plum Inks, stamp images directly over the Shimmer Paint.  With a couple of images & to give a little more definition, stamp off onto scrap paper & then onto the cardstock
Stamp sentiment onto Very Vanilla using Concord Crush Ink
Run Cardstock through Bigshot using Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Adhere layers 2, 3,4 & 5 together
Adhere Taffeta Ribbon down LHS of Very Vanilla Cardstock
Make a small bow tie & attach a Rhinestone Brad to the centre prior to attaching to middle of ribbon
Attach layer to base card

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Pocket Silhouettes
Inks – Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, Concord Crush
Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke, Concord Crush
Embossing Folder – Perfect Polka Dots
Ribbon – 3/8″ Taffeta – Very Vanilla

Shimmer Paint – Frost White, Rhinestone Brad – Lilac
Tip – When using Embossing Folders, I use Multipurpose Liquid Glue – you will find that it will adhere a lot more to your cardstock
Until next time, Enjoy!

Friend to Friend…

In between watching the cricket, golf & car racing, I’ve been playing with my stamps.  Mind you other things should have been done, but hey everything will be there tomorrow….
This card is for the Colour Challenge over at Pals Part Art – http://www.palspaperarts.com/  They have some great challenges over there.
I’ve used a couple of my favourite stamps which have been collecting dust on the shelf, so thought I would bring them out for this challenge.
Using the Butterfly Punch, I punched a butterfly in Regal Rose – you can just see a slight outline.  I then stamped a butterfly image from Flight of the Butterfly and Pear Pizzazz.   After punching a hold through both layers, I applied the brad through the centre & adhered the butterflies to the card.

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Pocket Silhouettes, Flight of the Butterfly
Ink – Early Expresso, Pear Pizzazz, Regal Rose

G’Day Stampers,

It has been a couple of long long days since my last posting…..
