I have been having little plays again & come up with a little pressie for a friend. I know she doesn’t look on here, so am safe to post.
The only part of the project is the stamp set “Just Beachy” from Stampin’ Up! but I just love the paper, which I have had sitting in my supplies for about a month now & thought it time it got used.
Calendar, Box & Cards
This little calendar is in the shape of a card, but will stand on your desk by itself. I have used one for years & always make myself one each year. I also made a lot for little xmas pressies this year.
I have also made little envelopes to match the note cards, but you are unable to see them in the picture.
I have finally managed to do tutorial for the “Rock ‘n’ Roll” method I used on the butterfly below.
Using 2 ink colours, this technique adds extra dimension to your solid stamped images Instructions for Rock ‘n’ Roll
Supplies Required –
Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Punpkin Pie DSP – Non-SU Ink – Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip Stamp Set – Great Friend Punches – 1 3/8” Circle, 1 ¼” Circle Accessories – Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue, Rhinestones – Non-SU, Acetate, Dimensionals
Instructions – 1. Using the Bashful Blue ink pad (lighter colour), ink your image 2. Using your same image, ink the edges with the Chocolate Chip (darker colour) by rolling the edges of the stamp onto the ink pad 3. If done properly, the darker coloured ink should appear around the outer edges of the stamp, while the lighter colour ink will still be showing on the inside 4. Stamp your image onto your cardstock 5. If required, repeat above steps 6. Using scissors, cut around stamped image 7. Complete your project
TIP – 1. Prior to stamping the image onto my card, I will sometimes blow onto the stamp so as to moisten the ink a little. This ensures that this ink is still moist 2. Practice on a scrap piece of cardstock or paper until such time as you are happy with your result
Until next time when I will post instructions for the Note Book! Vicky
I’ve been playing with my friend’s Jenny’s stamp set – AGAIN! I love this set, but don’t own it as yet! The possibilities are endless. I’ve cut out the flowers & placed 2 of them on dimensionals so that they sit up a little.
Thought I would do a little something different & get a bit more use of the “Just Beachy” Stamp Set. Remember we only have 13 days left to order from the Spring Mini, which means all the stamps will not been seen again. I am going to miss quiet a few of them…..oh well. I’ve purposely left any greetng off the card today, will put that on when the comes to use or sell it.
