Warning – you may need sunnies!
My card is one I’ve sort of been working on for a couple of days not knowing how to finish it or where to go & just sitting on my desk. Does that ever happen to you?
Don’t forget to pop back tomorrow to check out Day 3 of my Christmas Cards.

Today I am taking part in an Anniversary Blog Hop happening over at Global Stamping Friendswhich is a group of Demonstrators from all around the world. We are celebrating 12 months since the group started & boy has it grown!
For the special Anniversary Hop our theme is ANNIVERSARY of course!
I was so undecided as to what I was going to use & how to create my card that I ended up totally confused, so I decided to keep it simple with lots of white.
The past week or so I have been experimenting with my inks & stamps, trying new ways of stamping & colouring. My image was inspired by a card sitting on my desk which I will share with you sometime in the future once it has been finished.
My image is from the “Floral Phrases” Stamp Set which was inked using Pink Pirouette & Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers & stamped direct onto a piece of Whisper White CS. I then grabbed my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker, scribbled colour onto a Block & picking up small amounts of colour at a time with a Blender Pen, coloured over areas of the Pink Pirouette. I repeated the same technique for the leaves using Wild Wasabi Ink. I think it brings the flower to life.
The flower was die cut with the oval shape from the Stitched Shape Framelits by running through the Big Shot. As I wanted my card to be mostly all white, I decided to add a small scallop Whisper White frame behind the oval so I die cut another piece of Whisper White CS using the Layering Ovals Framelits & running through the Big Shot. This piece was adhered to the stamped oval.
I embossed a piece of Whisper White CS with the Softly Falling EF before layering onto the Base Card – Flirty Flamingo. The oval shape was adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the “Beautiful Bouquet” Stamp Set. I thought it suited the card & blog hop perfectly. It was stamped onto scrap Whisper White CS in Flirty Flamingo, cut each end into a Banner Shape & adhered to the bottom of the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I do hope you have enjoyed my card. Be sure to check out all the other wonderful creations joining the blog hop.
