Daisy Delight

Daisy-Delight---WCMD---Clos

G’Day Stampers,

I’ve been quite the last week, needed to take a little downtime but now I’m back.

As you are probably aware, Saturday was World Card Making Day but this year I’ve taken it 1 step further & decided to celebrate for the whole of October!  This means that I’ve created a pile of cards using the gorgeous Note Cards & Envelopes which are on special up to 10 October to post or hand out to random family, friends, neighbours, customers, etc.  Today’s card is using the Whisper White set.  These Cards & Envelopes are my “go to” supply!  Love them!

I’ve used the Daisy Delight Stamp Set & the Daisy Punch on my card.  Don’t forget the Stamp Set is on special up to 10 October.  The Bundle (yes, available in a Bundle) was teamed up with Night of Navy, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Inks.  The circle was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits  & then sponged with Daffodil Delight & a Stamping Sponge before being adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I left the front blank as I wanted the receiver to be able to reuse the card for any occasion by forwarding it on.

If you click on the link “World Card Making Day” you will see what other product is on special BUT ONLY up to 10 October.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Kylie’s International Top Ten August Winners Blog Hop

Top 10 Winners

Welcome to the Top Ten Winners Blog Hop!   Do you remember my post from a couple of weeks ago asking for you to vote?  Check it out by clicking on “Teacher’s Gifts”.  Thank you to every one of you who took the time to vote – it worked!  Because of your votes, myself & other lucky talented Demonstrators get to hop along with Kylie (Australia’s #1 Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator).   I feel very honoured to be among this group, so thank you once again!

You are visiting from Corinne Blake who is from the USA.  I do hope you enjoyed Connie’s lovely creation.

Last month the theme was Teacher’s Gifts.  Well, for this blog hope, it is the same themeDelightful-Daisy-Crate---Em but creating a new item.  I did started out with butterflies in my head but now that I’ve finished it, they do look like funny sort of butterflies.  Yep, I picked up the wrong item, but never mind, I am happy with the project & more than happy with the colours.

To create my crate, I die cut a piece of the Thick Whisper White CS using the Wood Crate FramelitWood Crate Framelit As I wanted to try something different with my create, I mixed a small drop of Bermuda Bay Refill into a dab of Embossing Paste, placed  one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks over top & spread the Paste over the crate shapes prior to putting it together.   I repeated the same process onto a piece of Whisper White CS which I was going to be using for my card.

Delightful-Daisy---FlowerThe flower was created by punching 2 daisies from a piece of Whisper White CS with the Daisy Punch, sponged with a Sponge Dauber with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & then Daffodil Delight on both shapes prior to layering onto each other.  The centre was created by sponging a piece of scrap Whisper White CS using the same process, stamping the centre from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, punching with the 1/2″ Circle Punch & adhering to the centre.  To complete my flower, I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the middle.

The leaves were stamped onto a scrap piece of Whisper white CS, first with Lemon Lime Twist, then with Old Olive, punched with the Leaf Punch, scored down the middle to give them dimensional before adhering to the flowers.  They are from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set.  Sorry the photo doesn’t really do them justice.

I placed 2 Ferrero Rochers into a Cello Bag, stamped the sentiment from Wood Words Stamp Set onto scrap Whisper White CS in Bermuda Bay, die cut using the Wood Crate Framelits & tied it to the Cello Delightful-Daisy---EmbossinBag with Whisper White Baker’s Twine (retired).  I finished the bag off by tying a small bow from the Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon

For my card, I created another flower using the above steps, layered the embossed Card onto a piece of Daffodil Delight CS & then to the Base Card – Whisper White.  The leaves were created the same way as the crate.

I’m pretty happy with the end result even though the flowers were meant to be butterflies.  A happy mistake in this instance.

Next up is Karen……

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Daisy Delight Spinner

Daisy-Delight---Close-Up

Today I am sharing with you a “Spinner Card” using the Delightful Daisy Suite, Page 126 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.  When I first saw this set I imagined it spinning on a card & then forgot about it until I saw this card on Pinterest which prompted me to get my act into gear & create one of my own.  Thank you for your inspiration!

In fact, this is the card we will be creating today in our “Cards @ Toogoom” Class this Daisy-Delight1---Insidemorning.  You still have time to come along.  Everything is supplied, just bring yourself or a friend.  9.30am – 11.00am.

My greeting has been printed onto Whisper White CS in Night of Navy, cut down to size & adhered to the Card Front.  You could easily stamp your own greeting or sentiment using one of the many lovely sets from the Annual Catalogue.

It was a pretty easy card to create but one with a bit of a Wow.  I am going to wind my flower up a little before posting off so that the customer’s mum will see it spin when she opens it.

Kylie’s International Highlights

The past month seems to have flown as it is that time when once again I am playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights.

This month the theme is “Teacher’s Gifts“.  I don’t have any need for these gifts, but it is lovely to create something different & be out of your comfort one at the same time.

Not sure of what is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.

Vote for Me HereWhat is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other talented successful demonstrators.

What do I do?  All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.  I’m #5!

My project today is actually one that I created for one of my “Creative Classes” using theDeliightful-Daisy-Post-It-NDelightful Daisy” Suite.  This Suite is my all time favourite from the Annual Catalogue but haven’t really showcased any of the cards I’ve created.  I sometimes remember AFTER I’ve mailed the cards that I hadn’t taken any photos.

I think Post-It Note Holders are always very handy, so while creating my holder, I thought I would do something a little different & turn it into the shape of a “bag”.  The handle has been created using the gorgeous Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon.  Don’t you love it?

Seeing as though the ‘bag” was so cute, I thought it would be lovely to have a matching Delightful-Daisy-Cardcard to go with the gift, so out came the Suite once again.  I’m glad I did, as I am a little happy with the final result.

The gorgeous Petal Burst EF has been used both on the bag & the card – not sure if you can easily see it.  It finished the projects off perfectly.

I am loving the coordinating little “bag” & the card.  I do hope you do too.

Be sure to check out all the other lovely creations when you pop on over to Kylie’s Blog .  Don’t forget to go & vote for the ones you love & leave them a little love!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
