Best Day Ever

Touches-of-Texture-Emboss-R

Today I am sharing another using the Brushos.  Don’t you love these little jars of crystal powders?  I know I do.

The flower was stamped onto Shimmery White Cardstock in VersaMark Ink, heat embossed with White Emboss Powder, Brushos applied & then fussy cut.Touches-of-Texture---Tanger

G’Day stampers,

Today I am not only taking part in the very first Blog Hop – Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! but it is Day 4 of my DSP Showcase.  It is a FB Page for anyone who love SU! Products & who scraps.  There are over 3500 members.  If you love Stampin’ Up! & you love to scrap then why not join us.

Thank you for visiting.  You have just arrived from Jessica’s page which means you are36518126_10216049000962426_604109715940573184_n now half way through the hop.  I do hope you are enjoying the pages that everyone has created & getting lots of ideas.

Our Challenge this month was to create our page using the Sketch Layout.  Easy, right?  Well, I thought so to but for the life of me I’ve had heaps of trouble coming up with a page that I liked.  I think I may have been overthinking things which then creates all sorts of hassles.

Those of you that visit my blog, know that I do layouts for my niece & post them down to her.  Sometimes, they include photos, other times they are just the layouts & she selects the photos.  The journaling is mostly all left blank as I love her to write in her own handwriting.  I think it means more this way.

Anyhow my photo is one of Bon & her brother Jesse who was married in Argentina in April this year.  They are very close which I tried to capture in the layout including the colours in Bon’s dress & the black of Jess’ suite.  I’ve kept my page very simple as I didn’t want to take away from her gorgeous lace dress.  I have been a little loose with my layout Scrapbook---Fun-Times---Cloas it is a little different to the sketch.

I lightly sponged Balmy Blue onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock before randomly stamping the image from Touches of Texture & a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper was adhered top right hand corner.  This paper suited her dress perfectly!

The photo was mounted onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. The journaling area is a piece of Whisper White with a piece of the Specialty Paper adhered to the top & let hang over a little.

The 2 hearts were die cut from Balmy Blue & Basic Black Cardstock using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits & adhered to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.

The “love” was die cut from Basic Black using the same Framelits & adhered to a piece of Whisper White.  All 4 pieces of Whisper White were then adhered to a square of Basic Black & then to the sponged Whisper White.

The letters were cut from Balmy Blue & Whisper White, adhered onto each other but off centered a little before adhering to the Basic Black Square.  The little butterfly was die cut from Balmy Blue & Whisper White while the subtitle was typed & printed onto a piece of Whisper White, mounted onto a piece of Balmy Blue & then adhered to the page.

Next up on the hop is Michelle.  Just click on the “NEXT” button or from the names below 36476330_10155548748437694_8153268887673110528_nin the Blog Roll.  When visiting the blogs, please don’t forget to leave a little love by way of a comment.  I’m sure they will appreciate it.

Just a Note…

Touches-of-Texture-Embosed-

Our card today is one we did in one of our classes last month.  We had a play with Brushos using them in different ways.  We also created with the Touches of Texture Stamp Set – love this set!  We combined the Brushos with the Sweetheart Textured Embossing Folder.

The flower has been coloured with Stampin’ Blends – Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie.  These little beauties will once again be available in the new Catalogue in June.

If you click on the link below, you will be able to download your very own tutorial to create your version of today’s card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Bike Ride

I actually created my cards today, yes 2 for the July RAK – Random Act of Kindness that I am a part of.  Love this group!  You too can join.  All you have to do is click on the link below & request to join.  You don’t have to be a SU! Demonstrator.

Along with the Bundle, I’ve used “Glamper Greetings” – grass & sun while the marks on the path have been creating using an image from “Touches of Texture”.

20170703_112806blog1To create my path, I randomly drew lines with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, coloured & blended with Crumb Cake Ink & Blender Pen.

The sun was stamped in Daffodil Delight, coloured & blended with the Bender Pen.   I then blended a bit of the Daffodil Delight down towards the bike so that it looked like the sun was really shinning.
