Gift Card Holder

Along with Christmas Cards, we have been creating Gift Card Holders.  Let’s face it, these Foil Frenzy Speciality DSP, Colorful Seasons, Gift Card Holderslittle things can come in quiet handy this time of the year.  In fact, they may be used throughout the year for all occasions.  I have created this Holder a few years back for another class but thought it time to revisit.

For our Holders, we went with the Foil Frenzy Specialty Paper – love, love this paper.  The week previous, everyone was give the option of choosing their favourite colour to create their Gift Card Holders.  I love it that everyone’s was different.

Once the Belly Band had been created, we used the snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits  to create our main focal point by sponging a die cut circle, die cutting the Gift-Card-HOlder1snowflake with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits & then inlaying it back in with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  We finished them off with a large Rhinestone (retired).

The ladies enjoyed their class & were tickled “pink” with their Gift Card Holders.

Remember to use the Host Code for December when shopping Online.  Don’t forget the End-End Sales Event which includes discounted items & retiring items from the current 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

Feel Better Soon…

I found out that one of my ladies & friend who comes to our Technique Class spent some of the school holidays in hospital.  I created this one especially for her.

In fact I’ve add the “Swallowtail” Stamp sitting on the shelf for some time, but just couldn’t get an idea in my head to use it.  I have seen some lovely work using this stamp, but I don’t usually use a stamp until an idea pops into my head.

Determined to use the stamp & not really knowing what I was going to do, I grabbed the stamp, a couple of colours & played.  I’m happy with the result.  It is a very simple, easy card, but effective at the same time.

Thanks Bronwen for getting me to use this lovely stamp & hope you are feeling much, much better.

Embedded Embossing……

Thought I would show you one of the cards we created in our Technique Class a few weeks ago using the great little stamp set “Bug Me“.  I think this little set is overlooked in the Catalogue, but has a heap of possibilities & uses.

I love the end result.  So bright & happy for a birthday!

For the class we created 2 cards from the same set.  One for the girls, whil ethe other for boys.  The girl’s card I will post in a couple of days, so hopefully you will pop back then.

Bug Me # 2…

Who says girls can’t like bugs?

Our card today is the 2nd one we created in our Technique Class – “Inlaid/Embedded Embossing“.  This time it is the girl’s card.

I actually did this card for a challenge, but was too late to enter it, so instead decided to use it for my 2nd card for the class.  The ladies loved creating both cards.  I really love the colours of this card – perfect for the little girls……
