Simple Vintage Timeless Harmony | The Scrap Room | page 2

G’day Crafty Friends,

Today I’m sharing Page 2 of my 6 x 8 scrapbook album, created with the beautiful Simple Vintage Timeless Harmony 6 x 8 Paper Pad, paired with the coordinating 12 x 12 Vintage Basics Kit, the Journal Bits & the Chipboard Pieces.

This pocket page come together so easy.   Pockets are always so handy when creating pages as they can not only hold photos but souveniers like cards, tickets, etc.

I started by selecting a piece of paper from the 6 x 8 Paper Pad for the background & then a small left over piece for the pocket which is from the 12 x 12 Basics Kit.

The cut-a-part is from the 6 x 8 Paper Pad which has been adhered to Black Cardstock so that a photo may be adhered behind it.  I love that you can do this – yet another spot to add a photo.

Once again, I’m happy with how this page came together and I can’t wait to continue building the rest of the album using this gorgeous collection.

FREE One 6 x 6 Sheet Wonder Tutorial | Two Cards

Not sure about you, but I love finding ways to get more from the supplies already in my stash, and today’s project is a perfect example!

In this free One Sheet Wonder tutorial, I’m showing you how to take one 6 x 6 sheet of patterned paper and cut it to create two cards!

I’ll be sharing one of the cards today, using an easy layout and a simple card-making template that you can recreate with supplies you already have.

The cutting template makes it easy to get the most from your patterned paper, with pieces left over to create a second card.

For today’s card, I’ve added some coordinating images cut from the Oh So Lovely Paper Collection to match the colours and patterns in the paper.  But you definitely don’t need to have the exact same products to make this card!

Use what you have in your stash and make it your own.

Choose a favourite patterned paper, find some coordinating cardstock, then add die cuts, stamped images, embellishments or a sentiment you already have.

The layout is simple enough that you can easily adapt it to suit whatever supplies you have on hand.

I’m excited to share a Christmas card featuring the beautiful Christmas Wishes Collection by Paper Rose Studio and a fun fold that adds an extra little surprise when the card is opened.

Fun-fold cards are always a favourite AND they don’t have to be difficult to make.  Once you’ve got the measurements and a few simple score lines sorted, this card comes together beautifully.

For this project, I’ve used the Christmas Wishes Collection to create a traditional Christmas feel with plenty of festive details.  The patterned papers, coordinating colours and Christmas-themed elements make decorating the card so easy.

Father’s Day Card | Wings & Wheels Card Collection

Father’s Day cards don’t have to be complicated to make a big impression!  Today I’m sharing a simple and easy Father’s Day card created with the Wings & Wheels Card Collection by Uniquely Creative. This design combines a few masculine textures, gears, vintage-inspired elements and patterned paper to create a card that feels detailed without requiring a lot of complicated steps.

The best part?  You can easily recreate this layout with supplies you already have in your craft room.  Swap the papers, dies, colours or embellishments to make it your own!

Supplies

Here’s what I used for this Father’s Day card:

  • Wings & Wheels Card Collection – Uniquely Creative
  • Wings & Wheels Creative Cuts – Uniquely Creative
  • Cogs Texture Die – Uniquely Creative
  • Midnight 12 x 12 Cardstock – Uniquely Creative
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio

Don’t have the exact supplies?  No problem!  This is one of those layouts where you can easily substitute what you have on hand.  Look through your stash for gears, vehicles, masculine patterns, texture dies or even scraps of coordinating cardstock.

Try changing the focal image to a motorbike, airplane, classic car, tools or anything else your Dad enjoys.  You could even make a birthday, retirement or masculine thank-you card using exactly the same basic layout.

Simple doesn’t mean boring.  By combining layers, texture, dimension and a strong focal image, you can create a card that looks intricate while actually being very easy to put together.
