I’m Here for You

Crafty Creations is back up & running for 2016.

In case you are not aware, Crafty’s is my volunteer class held each Friday at the Caloundra Community Centre.  We’ve been going for a number of years now & the ladies that come along love it!

We used a lot of retired product t create our card, except for  the Stamp Set – You’ve Got This.  The class doesn’t mind as it gives me an excuse to use up my favourite product that I have lying around.  We also kept it fairly easy but with a little colouring & embossing to ease back into the swing of things.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Products used to create our card –

Happy Birthday

Today’s card is one we created last week in Crafty Creations & one that was cased (copied & share everything) a long time ago.  It has actually been sitting in a basket on my desk waiting for a class.   I do apologise as I couldn’t find where I actually found it, but please do let me know if you recognise it so that I can give you credit.

Post It Notes

I created Post-It Notes for my last Christmas Market, which surprised me as they proved to be popular.  You can never tell month to month, so I only do a few to showcase & then take orders.

I wanted to try & create them like a card instead of just using DSP for the backgrounds.

I don’t have photos of all the ones I created but did take a photo of a couple.  Along with the photo of each one, I’ve listed what I used – that I can remember!

Post-It Notes #1014bb-blog

I stamped the “Swallowtail” image onto Whisper White CS with Chocolate Chip Ink.  The image was stamped so that once the Post-It Notes were adhered to the Frame, it would not be covered up.  I then randomly coloured the image with a Blender Pen, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral Markers.

A piece of Crochet Trim (Retired) was adhered to the top part of the card, ends tucked under.  I didn’t adhere the Trim across the Card as I wanted the trim to be tied on the top of the Frame.

The whole piece was then adhered to a piece of Pink Pirouette CS prior to sliding inside the Frame.  The Post-It Notes were adhered to the top, a knot tied at the top with the Crochet Trim & a small Biro attached to the top of the Notes.

Post-It Notes #2015bb-blog

I randomly tamped a piece of Very Vanilla CS in Crumb Cake Ink using the large Rose from the “Stippled Blossom” Stamp Set.  I again stamped 2 images onto scrap Whisper White CS in Crumb Cake & Early Espresso Inks prior to cutting out the images & adhering to the stamped Very Vanilla CS.  Leaves were punched from Early Espresso CS with the Bird Builder Punch prior to adhering to the card.

The piece was then layered onto Early Espresso CS.

A piece of retired Early Espresso Ribbon was adhered across the frame & a bow tied to the side.  The Post-It Notes were adhered to the frame front along with a matching Biro – not seen in photo.

Post-It Notes #3

Leaves from “Kinda Eclectic” Stamp Set were randomly stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla CS with Pear Pizzazz Ink and the splash image from the “Gorgeous Grunge” Stamp Set in Calypso Coral Ink.  This piece was layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral CS.

013bb-blogThe flower image from the “Blended Bloom” Stamp Set direct onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla CS prior to colouring with Calypso Coral Blendabilities & cutting around images.

A small butterfly from the same set was stamped in Calypso Coral & punched with the corresponding “Bitty Punch” prior to adhering to the card, Pearls adhered to the centre prior to inserting into the Frame.

Post-It Notes were adhered to the front of Frame along with a small Biro.

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challenge #200.008bb-blog

I’ve had part of a card sitting in my “To Do” Basket half made.  This basket is full of little bits of cards that I’ve started & couldn’t go any further so when I come across the sketch, I decided to play along, but challenge myself to use the bits & pieces of a card that I had already started & not finished.

When I saw this stamp set, an idea sort of jumped into my head on how I wanted to use it.  The challenge fitted the pieces perfectly, I just had to decide on how to place a greeting/sentiment onto the card but I think I succeeded in doing that.

I’ve used the brand new, but gorgeous Spring Flowers Embossing Folder along with the Blendabilities.

Be sure to pop over to Try Stampin’ on Tuesday & see what the other cards have been created.  Thanks ladies for a wonderful challenge.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

“Happy Birthday – Butterfly Basics”

Sending Many Thanks

G’day Stampers,

Today’s card is one I did way back in June/July when we could pre-order for the current catalogue.  I have just found it in my blog file & one which I thought I had posted.

011a1To create my card, I stamped the background images direct onto the Base card  Whisper White in Smokey Slate Ink, ensuring the images were in the middle of the card & not too high or low.  I then stamped the large flower image onto a scrap of Whisper White with Memento Black Ink & coloured with Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities before cutting out & setting aside.

A piece of Modern Medley DSP (Retired) was adhered to the Top & Bottom of the Base Card.  I then attached the large flower to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  3 x Basic Black Leaves were punched with the Bird Builder Punch prior to adhering under the flower.

The Sentiment from Petite Pairs was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White with Memento Black Ink, prior to cutting into a Banner Shape at the bottom.  A Basic Black & Whisper White Banner was created prior to adhering all 3 to the top part of the card.

To finish it off, I adhered a row of Pearls along the top of the Banner & again along the top of the DSP.  I then scattered smaller Pearls around the card.

You may recognise this card as it is on Page 170 of the current catalogue.  I’ve changed it around to suit what I had to play with.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Sneak Peak from the New Occasions Catalogue

023close---blogYep, today’s post is one show casing some of the gorgeous DSPButterfly Thinlits Dies from the new Occasions Catalogue. Believe me when I say you are going to need this Catalogue.  It jammed packed with gorgeous new products & lots of great idea showing you how to use it.

My post today come from the sample in the Catalogue, Page 18.

This is a Frame I did using some of the new DSP – “Painted Blooms”.  See how it looks like an abstract painting.  Yep, all I did was cut the DSP back to the size I wanted which in this case was 5″ x 7″ & adhered to a piece of Whisper White CS to make it a little bit stronger.

As I wanted it to sit on Naomi’s new crafting desk, I took the “Create” from Stampin’ Up!’s – “Inspire… Create… Share…” & printed it in Soft Sky onto Whisper White CS using MDS.  It was then run through the BS using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits.  I coloured 6 small Pearls with the lightest shade of Melon Mambo Blendibility prior to adhering to each side & then to the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Once it had been placed in the frame, I fell it still needed something, so I then run the middle size Butterfly Thinlits through the BS with Soft Sky & Blushing Bride CS before layering them & adhering them to the front of the frame with Glue Dots. I added Pearls to the centre of the Butterfly.

What do you think?  I am seriously thinking of doing the same for myself.

If you would like to get your hands on a copy of this new Catalogue, which goes live tomorrow, then please contact me.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
