Today, I am sharing with you a card I created from a left over piece of Watercolour PaperI had used on a card a couple of days ago. Instead of wasting it, I thought it would be great to try & use the piece on something. As I had the “Naturally Eclectic” DSPsitting on my desk, it suddenly hit me that the colours matched perfectly with the DSP. Don’t you love it when this happens?
I chose to colour my flower using the Blender Penalong with Sweet Sugarplum& Berry BurstInks which by the way coordinate with the lovely DSP. I added Clear Wink of Stellato the flower which blended & highlighted the colours a little more as well as adding a bit of sparkle to it.
For the inside of my card, I cut a piece of the DSP, adhered a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card to one side, layered it onto a piece of Whisper White Card before adhering to the inside of the Base Card –Night of Navy.
Do you recognize it? It is from the front of the Annual Catalogue. Not much difference, but I have managed to add my own interpretation to it. Don’t forget to use the Catalogue for inspiration.
There is a free tutorial for you by clicking on the link below to create your own card. It includes a list of supplies used on the card plus measurements (metric & imperial).
I have been playing lots with the Embossing Pastethe last few weeks – loving this stuff & also working on a couple of Creative Card Classes. One of the classes will be using the Paste, so be sure to book your spot.
I teamed the paste up with my new Oh, So Eclectic Bundlewhich only come in the post last week & has been sitting on my desk waiting & waiting.
Creative Cards are held the 1st & 2nd Tuesday of the month or the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month….. You can find all the details on the Classes/Workshop Page.
My card today is so way out of my comfort zone with all the oranges of Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, So Saffaron & Garden Green. I am so happy with the card that I have actually decided to include it in one of the classes in the next month or so. Mind you, it doesn’t look much but it has taken me hours to finally create it what with all the playing & changing of colours, but hey that is the fun part of creating.
The flowers have been coloured & blended with my good ol’ Blender Pen. I don’t know what I would do without it. I then highlighted the flowers with a little Clear Wink of Stella. It brings out he colours so much more.
The leaves were stamped using the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink& again coloured with Old Olive Ink & Blender Pen. The Old Olive is a nice contrast against the Garden Green background.
I will let you in on a little secret, the circle was not originally on the card which meant the flowers were sort of lost in the background, so I sponged a die cut circle in So Saffron, popped them on & then onto the card. Made all the difference as it now looks like a completely different card.
I’m not gonna be mean & not share the tutorial today, so don’t forget to click on the link below to grab it so you, too can create a card.
To achieve my “footpath”, I added a 3 small amounts of Embossing Paste onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, added a very tiny drop of Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip Ink Refills to 2 of the amounts but not really mixing them.
I placed the “Brick” Decorative Mask to the bottom part of a piece of Whisper White Card, applied the White Embossing Paste followed by the Crumb Cake & then the Chocolate Chip to the Mask. I found doing it this way, I had a more of a distinctive look with the colours.
The “Happy Birthday” was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White CS, punched with the Classic Label Punch& adhered behind the bike to look like a “flag”.
I’m finding this Bundle lots of fun with lots of ideas popping into my head as I create my cards.

My card was one I had started playing with a couple of weeks ago & has been sitting on my desk in bits & pieces for a couple of weeks now. Instead of starting from scratch I challenged myself to use what I had started so I sat down & then bang, it hit me. The flowers from the “Wood Words” Stamp Set were perfect as they remind me of Thailand. The colours I didn’t have to change at all as I had gone with Berry Burst & Lemon Lime TwistInks & Card & I think they are the perfect colours……
I do hope all the Demonstrators who have earned the Thailand Incentive Trip are enjoying themselves as it is such a lovely country.

I was asked a couple of weeks ago to create a card for a friend of mine who turned 89, 2 weeks ago. We all call him “Pop” & my dog Belle, just loves going down to their place for visits but I really think it is the treats they give her. I often come home alone as Belle is happy sitting on the mat at their feet & in the company of their little dog, Friday.
I did case this card off Pinterest that I had seen a little time ago & loved the simple easy design of the card. Thank you so much for your inspiration. It suits Pop as he is always out in the garden or shed playing & building stuff, with Belle always at his heels.
I stamped the images onto a piece of scrap Whisper White Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & die cut them using the matching “Build It” Framelits by running through the Big Shot.
The background from the stamp Set “Awesomely Artistic” was stamped direct onto a piece of Whisper White Card in Marina Mist Ink while the small accessories were all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The card was then layered onto a piece of Marina Mist & then to the Base Card – Night of Navy.
The tools were coloured & blended with Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Smokey Slate & Basic Grey Inks using a Blender Pen before being adhered the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Today’s card was created a couple of weeks ago especially for my niece who is going through a bit of a bad patch at the moment. Purple is her favourite colour so the new 2017-2019 In Colour of Berry Burst is just perfect!
Don’t you just love the new colours. They are devine! I know my favourites are going to be Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist.
I’ve used the gorgeous “Colour Theory” Suite which consists of the Colour Theory DSP, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Colourful Seasons Stamp Set, Glitter Enamel Dots & Ribbons. The Stamp Set & Thinlits also come in a Bundle, which you will want to add to your stash.
Just to add a little something different to my card, I layered Window Sheet to the back of the DSP & applied the flowers to the top with Mini Glue Dots.
For the inside, I cut down the reminder of the gorgeous DSP into 2 strips – adhered 1 piece to a piece of Whisper White which was then layered onto the inside of the Card.
The 2nd piece was adhered to the left hand side of my envelope. Not only do I like to match the inside to the card front, but also the envelope. I think it just adds a little bit of a WOW to the whole card.

Today I am sharing with you a card we did in our class “Cards @ Toogoom” a few weeks ago. The ladies loved it & thought it very pretty, especially the different fold which is a “Gatefold“.
Today also happens to be the last day to order from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue, so get your order in now as not all items will be available after today. “Special Reasons” Bundle is not being carried over along with the “Falling in Love” DSP.
We’ve used Sweet Sugarplum, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso & Blushing Brides Inks for our flowers & leaves. Early Espresso Ink & Card for our sentiment & punched with the Classic Label Punch.
The small flower on the right hand side of the card is popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional & stops the Belly Band from sliding down.
If you click on the link above the photo, you are able to download a Free Tutorial which includes Measurements (Metric & Imperial), as well as a Supply List of all the product I’ve used to create our card.

Don’t you just love the names? Stampin’ Up! give our colours such fun names.
To create my Bookmarks, I used my Aqua Painter & applied the appropriate ink to colour. The small leaf is from the Jar of Love Stamp Set & was stamped over the colourwash direct onto the Whisper White Card. I stamped the small flower from the same set onto scrap Whisper White Card, die cut with the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits & adhered to the Bookmark. A small Rhinestone was added to the centre of the each flower.
To complete the Bookmark, I punched the top using the Scalloped Tag Punch & threaded a piece of the 1/2″ Finely Woven Tranquil Tide Ribbon.
I know which will be my new favourite In Colours? Do you have one yet?
If you don’t have a copy of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue or a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, please contact me.
I was very happy to know that although the Bundle will not be available in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue, the “Sunshine Sayings” Stamp Set & coordinating “Sunshine Wishes” Framelits will not be retiring. I love both these products.
I saw a card created by Andrea Walfordusing these Framelits on Pinterest & so I set about creating it. I also found that she has a both a video tutorial & a PDF showing how she created her gorgeous card. Thank you Andrea for your lovely inspiration.
My background has been created using the Faux Torn Paper Technique which I am more than happy with.
Hope you enjoyed the card today.

For my card I decided to use the “Nailed It” Bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue & which is retiring at the end of May.
I layered a piece of the “Urban Underground” DSP to a piece of Very Vanilla CS before layering onto the Base Card – Crushed Curry.
I used the “Nailed It” Bundle to create my tools. Firstly I stamped 3 of the Tools from the “Nailed It” Stamp Set onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloured small areas with the Basic Grey Watercolour Pencil & blended a little with a Blender Pen before cutting with the matching “Build It” Framelits by running through the Big Shot. I added the cute little “smiley face” to the hammer.
I cut a piece of Very Vanilla CS with the large circle from the “Stitched Shapes” Framelits by running through the Big Shot, randomly stamped the circle with the Nails & Screw Image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink before adhering to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To highlight the handles a little I added a little Basic Black CS by cutting just the handles using the “Build It” Framelits & adhering to the shapes which were then arranged over the stitched circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
“Happy Birthday” is from the “Sunshine Sayings”Stamp Set & has been stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, punched with the “Classic Label” Punch & adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you like my card today.
