Stampin’ Up! have given us 8 more items for the remaining of 2017 SAB. How good is that?
To celebrate the new release I thought I would share a card from our July 2016 Technique Treatsusing the “Seaside” Embossing Folder which is 1 of the FREE items when placing a $90.00 order up until 31 March 2017.
It is also showcasing the “Ghosting Technique“. If you haven’t played with this technique, you don’t know how much fun it can be.
I’ve actually used “By the Shore” Suite, Page 93 of the Annual Catalogue. Don’t you love it when everything coordinates? Along with the “Seaside” EF, there is the matching “By the Shore” DSP, Dapper Denim Ribbon, “By the Shore” CS Pack & not forgetting the lovely “Seaside Shore” Stamp Set. Be sure to check them out.

Last week when a group of us went out for lunch we were a given a small pocket diary. One of the girls had just been to the Blood Bank, saw them & thought of me (I’m either a little late or very early – like a week), so she grabbed a handful. I’ve just got to remember to use it & take it with me.
Of course, as we all do, I decided that it needed a bit of a facelift, so I decided to “tissy” it up & make it my own. The girls won’t see it until our next catch up next month.
I decided to cover it with the “By the Shore” DSP. Then I thought I would add a few stamps, so I went with the matching “Seaside Shore” Stamp Set. I stamped the Bubbles & Seaweed onto a piece of Very Vanilla CS with Mint Macaron Ink & coloured a couple of them with my Blender Pen. This was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits & layered onto a piece of Dapper Denim which had been punched with my 2″ Circle Punch.
The fish was stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS in Dapper Denim Ink & adhered to the Circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thinking it needed something else, I then decided to place my name at the bottom. I die cut a couple of letters using “Little Letters” (retired) from scrap Very Vanilla & then from Dapper Denim. The extra pieces when layered on top of each other, make them stand out a little, especially when using DSP or have a busy background.
To finish it all off, Clear wink of Steller was applied to the letters & fish.
I think the girls will be very impressed when they see it, don’t you?
My card I am sharing with you today was created for a challenge but as usual, completely forgot to post it. Well, to be honest, I couldn’t find what challenge I did it for. Does that ever happen to you?
I’ve used the lovely “By the Shore” DSP & the co-ordinating “Seaside Shore” Stamp Set. I teamed it up with Dapper Denim & Very Vanilla Card. Inks were Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim & Calypso Coral. My Blender Pen was used to colour parts of the “coral”.
I thought I would share with you one of the cards created from our Technique Treats #6 where we used the gorgeous Stamp Set “Seaside Shore” along with the coordinating “By the Shore” DSP and the coordinating Seaside Textured EF. You can see more ideas on Page 92 & 93 of the 2016 Annual Catalogue.
For my card I used the Ghosting Technique along with the lovely new Dapper Denim In Colour.
