Colouring Daisy Days with Watercolour Pencils

G’Day Friends,

We’re back with another colouring with Pencils project to share with you today.

Throughout the month of May, we’re sharing ideas on using your Colour Pencils or Watercolour Pencils with you.

Click HERE to check out Robbie’s project.

I am by no means an expert at colouring but I do like to try colouring on different mediums, eg Kraft Cardstock.  The final result is so worth it.

How my card was created –

  • Randomly stamp images direct onto Kraft Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Colour & blend with Colour Pencils until happy with the result.  Repeat if necessary
  • Add “veins” to petals with Black Marker – gives more depth & to add “veins” to petals
  • Randomly adhere die cut images to card with Dimensional Tape
  • Randomly spatter White Posca Pen to Cardstock.  Allow to dry
  • adhere to Charcoal Black Smooth Cardstock prior to adhering to White Smooth Base Card
  • Stamp sentiment direct onto White Smooth Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Fussy cut around sentiment
  • Adhere to Charcoal Black Smooth Cardstock prior to cutting around shape leaving a small amount of Black showing around sentiment
  • Adhere to card front with Dimensional Tape
  • Optinal – Apply Clear Wink of Stella to petals

Supplies –

  • Daisy Days – Paper Rose Studio
  • Black Charcoal Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Kraft Cardstock – My Stash
  • Watercolour Pencils – Stampin’ Up!

May Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

G’Day Friends,

It’s time for the Stamp ‘n Hop May Blog Hop.  This month is all about Fantastic Fun Folds which will be a lot of fun.  Be sure to follow along by clicking on the links below.

Now, I’m not sure if this fold has a name & if so, I couldn’t tell you the name.  I saw something on Pinterest a few weeks ago & now for the life of me, can’t find it again.  If you know, could you please let me know.

It is fairly easy to create, although it is a little bulky when closed.  I think if I did it again, I would certainly take a little of the bulk from inside.

Supplies

  • Hidden Creek Collection – Arden Creative Studio
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • All Occasions Sentiments – Paper Rose Studio
  • Mistsy Moonlight Cardstock – Stampin’ Up!

Until next time, Have a craft day – Vicky

Picket Fence Studios for The Paper Funday Challenge

G’Day Friends,

It’s time for our May challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenges.  This month we are sponsored by Altenew & Picket Fence StudiosThe twist being – Celebrate Something New.

I only have a couple of stamp sets by Picket Fence Studios including the Seashells waiting to be Found which is what I went with to create my card.

Now, I will be honest & say my card is totally different to what I started out to create.  It sort of took a steep turn once the sponging had been done.  But hey, that is what crafting is all about, right?

The Shells have been coloured with Copics while the sentiment was stamped in Navy & die cut with the matching die from the Bundle.

Don’t forget to pop over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team have created along with the entries.  Better still, why not play along with us this month by adding your link over on the blog.

Until next time, have a craft day.

Echoes of the Outback for Anything Goes Saturday

G’Day Friends,

I’ve used the oh so lovely Echoes of the Outback Collection to create my card today.  If you love the rich colours of the Australian bush with all it’s beautiful flowers, euclalpus, animals & patterns, then you will love this collection.

It reminds so much of my home town, minus the drought – Winton!  Mind you, in saying that, after all the rain last month, the countryside is absolutely stunning at the moment & the wildflowers will be simply gorgeous this winter.

Be sure to check out Robbie’s project.

I’ve used a mixture of the Creative Cuts & images from the papers to create my card.

Supplies

  • Echoes of the Outback Card Collection – Uniquely Creative
  • Echoes of the Outback Cardstock Bundle – Uniquely Creative
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio

Did I mention, there is now an Echoes of the Outback Card Kit for purchase.  These kits are limited, so once gone, they are gone!  This kit has been specifically created for the beginner crafter although would suit the more advanced crafter too.

Until next time – Have a crafty day!
