Sweet Piglet | Simple Layers with a Handmade Touch

G’Day Crafty Friends,

I have another Kat Scrappiness project to share with you today, created with the fun Hundred Acre Quokka Stamp Set, Pattern Papers & Craft Dies

This card is all about soft colour, texture and charm.  Adorable Piglet takes centre stage, coloured with alcohol markers for smooth blends and gentle shading that really brings the character to life.  Keeping the colouring fairly simple lets the image shine without overpowering the design.

I paired Piglet with the matching patterned paper to add interest and a bit of playful contrast. Mixing patterns is a great way to add depth while still keeping the card flat and easy to post. The matching sentiment stamp finishes the card perfectly, tying the whole design together with a clean and polished look.

To add dimension without bulk, I die cut the bees from the matching Hundred Acre Bee Hive background Craft Die.  This gives more lift to the panel and sentiment.  Die-cut shapes instantly elevate a card and make even a simple layout feel more finished and professional.

This is a lovely design for everyday cardmaking – quick to assemble, easy to personalise and perfect for using up favourite papers.

Supply List

A very cute piglet, soft colouring and a few simple layers – sometimes that’s all you need to create a card that feels truly special.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Birthday Quokka Card | Fun, Cute, Colourful & Easy to Create

G’Day Friends,

Today I’m sharing a sweet birthday quokka card created as part of my Kat Scrappiness Creative Affiliate Team project.  It’s perfect when you want something cute, quick and a little bit special.   The star of the show is this happy little quokka, coloured with alcohol markers for smooth blends and soft shading.

The smiling quokka steals the show, paired with a little present to set the birthday scene and a bright mix of patterned paper for extra fun & tones the colouring down a little.

To keep things playful, I paired the image with patterned paper and an easy fun fold.   This fold adds interest without being complicated – great for using up paper scraps and perfect for beginner or time-crunched crafters.  A small present on the side along with the birthday sentiment finishes the card and really sells the birthday vibe.

This is one of those projects that is perfect for batch cardmaking.

Simple, cheerful and guaranteed to make someone smile—because honestly, everything is better with a quokka.
