Best of Luck | A Fun Fold Card | Words of Wisdom Collection

G’Day Crafty Friends,

There’s something quietly powerful about sending someone a handmade card.  And when that card is filled with soft textures, delicate embossed flowers and thoughtful folds, it becomes more than paper – it becomes a keepsake.

Today’s inspiration is a fun fold card created with the lovely Words of Wisdom Collection by Paper Rose Studio, designed to surprise and delight from the very first touch.

The Beauty of Embossing

The coordinating Embossed Die CutsFloral & Inspiration packs brings the card to life in a way ink alone cannot.  Run your fingers across the surface and you’ll feel it.

Final Thought

A handmade card is more than a project – it’s a gesture of connection.  In a world that moves quickly, it invites someone to slow down, open and feel appreciated.

So fold the paper, emboss the flowers and send your wishes out into the world.
Because sometimes, a small card can carry a very big message.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

The Paper Funday Day Challenge | April

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Once again it’s time for The Paper Funday Challenge where this month we’re sponsored by Birch Press Design & Newton’a Nook.  Of course, there is always “Anything Goes & the “Twist”.  I’ve gone for the Twist – Die Cuts.

I decided to continue with the lovely Words of Wisdom Collection, along with the matching Inspiration Embossed Die Cuts & the Floral Embossed Die Cuts.

The circles were die cut using the Nesting Circles Cutting Dies.  The card was completed by randomly scattering the Clear Crystal Mix around the circle & die cuts.

Supplies List – Paper Rose Studio

  • Words of Wisdom 6 x 6 Basics Collection
  • Words of Wisdom Inspiration Embossed Die Cuts
  • Words of Wisdom Floral Embossed Die Cuts
  • Antique Gold Shimmer Cardstock
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock
  • Nesting Circles Cutting Dies
  • Clear Crystal Mix

Thanks so much for stopping by today – I hope this inspires you to pull out your papers, cardstock & die cuts to join us in this month’s challenge.

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Paper Rose Studio | Words of Wisdom Collection

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Today I’m sharing a brand new Paper Rose Studio Design Team project featuring 2 beautiful easy fun Front Pocket fold cards using the Words of Wisdom Collection.  If you love soft florals and meaningful sentiments, these are for you!

As I wanted to keep things light, elegant and encouraging. The Collection has the most gorgeous floral patterns paired with uplifting sentiments, making it perfect for cards that brighten someone’s day.

This design may look hard but is so simple to create. It’s perfect for beginners or when you want something a little different without complicated steps.

There is a pocket in the front of the card that you are able to slot in a Gift Card or as I’ve done, a small card.  I also decided to turn the base card into a proper full base card.

For this project I used –

Words of Wisdom Collection | Paper Rose Studio

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Today I’m excited to share my latest Design Team project for Paper Rose Studio featuring a beautiful card created with the Words of Wisdom Collection.  This project combines soft florals, encouraging sentiments and a simple fun fold design that’s both eye-catching and easy to recreate.  There is even a PDF Tutorial below for you to download.

The Fun Fold Design

One of my favourite things about this card is the easy fun pop-out fold.  It adds a little “wow” factor without being complicated.  When the card opens, the layered panels reveal more of the floral design and sentiment, creating a lovely interactive element.

Fun fold cards are great because –

  • They look impressive
  • They use basic cardmaking supplies
  • They’re beginner-friendly

Why I Love This Fold

This easy pop-out fold card design works beautifully with patterned papers.  The extra panels give you space to show off the florals without overwhelming the sentiment.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card turned out!  The gentle florals and uplifting message from the Words of Wisdom Collection make it feel special, while the fun fold adds just the right touch of creativity.

Paper Rose Studio | Strawberry Friends Collection | Scrapbook Pages

G’Day Crafty Friends,

Toady I am sharing my 2nd project for February created with the lovely Strawberry Friends Collection by Paper Rose Studio.

Have you ever looked through your old handmade cards & think “this would really make a cute scrapbook page?” You could even create your cards from scrapbook layouts too.

Well, this is how my pages started.

I wanted to create quick and easy 6×8 scrapbook layouts, but I didn’t want to overthink the designs or pull out tons of supplies. So instead of searching for complicated sketches, I did something way simpler…

I raided my old card photos for inspiration.

Supplies

Page 1

The Pattern Paper squares are 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″.  To add more interest, I randomly drew lines around each square with a Black Fine Liner Pen.  They were adhere to Basic White Smooth Cardstock measuring 6″ x 8″.  This page will hold a cute little 2″ x 2 ” photo but you could easily add a larger photo if you wish.  The Pink Lemonade Shimmer Cardstock photo mat  measures 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″.

Page 2

Again, Paper Pattern squares were added to a 6″ x 8″ Basic White Smooth Cardstock page but this time the Pink Lemonade Shimmer Cardstock photo mat has been added a little off centre to the left side.  It will again hold a cute little 2″ x 2″ photo.

The Embellishment are Pearls & were coloured with a green Alcohol Marker.

The sentiment strips are from the Rainbow Poppies A5 Sentiment Sheets.  I love these sheets as they are perfect for both cards & scrapbook pages.

I will confess ….. case’ing old card layouts made this feel way less overwhelming as I didn’t overthink it, no complicated sketch layouts AND I’ve used scraps to ceate the pages.  In fact, these pages come together so fast.  They are simple but sometimes simple is all we need.

Next time you want to create a scrapbook page, don’t forget to flip through your old cards and pick one you love, asking yourself – Where would my photo/s go?  Where would the title sit?  Do I need a title?  What can I use for embellishments?  Then, all that is left is to rebuild it but this time a little bigger!

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!
