Daisy Daze Paper Collection | The Scrap Room

G’Day Crafty Friends,

I have another card, well 2 actually, to share with you today.  Once again, I’ve created these cards with the lovely Daisy Daze Paper Collection Pack for The Scrap Room Design Team.

The Daisy Daze collection by Bee Arty is a beautiful coordinated scrapbooking and mixed media range inspired by vintage botanicals, wildflower meadows and honeycomb textures.

Now, you know how I love to chop my papers in different ways….. so on these 2 cards, the papers have been cut the same but I’ve adhered them to layers in different directions.  Very simple & easy but sometimes, simple & easy is all we need to let the papers be the star of the show!

Again, I’ve distressed the edges of the papers before lightly sponging them with Antique Linen Distress Ink & a Sponge Dauber.  Once adhered to the coloured Cardstock layers, they were then adhered to White Base Cards.  To complete the cards, simple sentiments were added, followed by a little bling!

I love how cutting the papers the same way but adhering them in different directions changes the look of the cards.

Shopping Rebel | Polkadoodles Crafts | Digi Choosday

G’Day Crafty Friends,

It’s Digi Choosday time!

Today I’m sharing a simple & easy card featuring the ever so cute shopping Rebel Girl Digi Stamp.

Shopping Rebel is all set for summer, dressed in her hot pink dress, carrying her lime bag & sporting her oh so vibrant orange hair.  Don’t you think she looks like she is having such a fabulous day out & about doing a little retail therapy!

To compliment the image, I teamed it up with the  Rebel Pretty Printable Paper Patterns – Bundle 1, which coordinates perfectly with the bright, fun summer colours.  The  sentiment is from the Rebel Messages with Attitude set.  I love these sentiments as they add the perfect finishing touch with a little sass!

To complete the card, I added some soft ink blending to the background, coloured the image with Copics prior to fussy cutting it and incorporating a little scoring for extra detail and dimension.  Sometimes these simple techniques really let the adorable image and colourful papers shine.

The Scrap Room | Design Team | Daisy Daze Paper Collection

Today I’m sharing a birthday card I created using the beautiful Daisy Daze Paper Collection Pack for The Scrap Room Design Team.

The Daisy Daze collection by Bee Arty exclusively designed by Amy Evans, is a beautiful coordinated scrapbooking and mixed media range inspired by vintage botanicals, wildflower meadows and honeycomb textures.

To give the papers a soft vintage feel, the edges of the paper were distress before lightly sponging them with Forest Moss Distress Ink & a Sponge Dauber.

The sweet daisy image was fussy cut from the pack prior to being coloured with Copics, adding plenty of depth and vibrant colour to the focal point.

To finish the card, I added a few pearls for a touch of elegance and wrapped some twine around the design for extra texture and a rustic feel.

I love how the distressed edges, papers, soft florals and simple embellishments come together to create a cheerful birthday card.

Summer Splash | July | The Paper Funday Challenge

G’day Crafty Friends,

July is here which means a a brand new challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog!  Our sponsors for this month are Taylored Expresions & Simon Says stamps with the twist being  “Summer Splash”.  Once again, I’ve gone for the twist!

I knew immediately what I was going to use – the gorgeous & oh so “summery” Summer Feeling Paper Collection from Maja Design.  The fresh striped patterns paired with a sweet ice cream paper & fussy cut element create the perfect combination for a bright, cheerful summer project.

Sometimes the simplest designs are the most effective and this card came together so easily while still capturing all those happy summer vibes.

Paper Rose Studio | Heart & Home 6 x 6 Paper Collection

If you’re looking for a quick and creative card design, then this card is for you as it comes together in minutes!  This fun fold has been created with the Heart & Home 6 x 6 Paper Collection along with the coordinating Embossed Die Cuts  by Paper Rose Studio.

One of the best things about this design is how little paper is required.  The fun fold mechanism uses just one piece of 6″ x 6″ patterned paper, making it a great way to use up your favourite paper stash while showcasing both sides of the design.
