I meant to share the remainder of my aunt’s present a couple of weeks ago but completely forgot about it, but better late than never!
As promised today’s share is the card I created for Jill. It was made to match the small box. Again I’ve used the retired Parisian Breeze Speciality DSP, teamed it up with the same Pink Shimmer Card & used the lovely new Layering Square Framelits. I can see myself using these so much.
For a bit of a different look, I decided to cut the DSP on an angle. It is good to get out of your comfort zone sometimes. I added a stripe of Pear Pizzazz across the top to break it up a little.
I stamped “Happy th Birhday” direct onto a piece of Whisper White in Pear Pizzazz Ink. The Whisper White had been cut with the Layering Squares Framelits as was the Shimmer Pink Card which it was layered onto.
The “80” was cut a number of times in Whisper White using the now retired “Little Numbers” Dies & then once in Shimmer Pink. I layered the Whisper White to each other before finally adding the Pink Numbers to the top. I wanted the Numbers to pop a little from the Card.
The Fern was cut from a scrap of Pear Pizzazz Card using the “Botanical Builder” Framelits before sponging with a Sponge Dauber. The Flowers were cut from the same Shimmer Pink Card, sponged with Melon Mambo Ink. The middles were cut from Whisper White Card & adhered to the centre of the larger flowers before being adhered to the Card Front.
The card was then layered direct on a Whisper white Card Base before adhering Pearls to the centre of the flowers & scattering small ones around the card.
Jill was very happy with her card & couldn’t believe how everything matched. In fact, a couple of people asked me where I had purchased them gift as they had never seen anything like them.
Be sure to pop back to check out the Exploding Bag that went with it.
For today’s card I’ve used the “Best Birds Bundle” again! I just can’t seem to get enough of this gorgeous Bundle. There are so many gorgeous Bundles & Dies in Stampin’ Up!’s new Catalogue that I just can’t seem to decide which to purchase. It is a case of wanting it all NOW!!!!!
I started off taking my inspiration from P52 of the Catalogue but then started to go along with the Sketch from last month.
If you haven’t tried using this simple sketch to create any cards, be sure to give it a go. I am having heaps of fun using the sketch AND it has helped me get back into creating once again.
When I first saw this Stamp Set, it reminded of Cherry Blossoms for some reason . After using it a number of times I am now seeing small Frangipanis too. Is anyone else seeing this?

I saw a card when looking for something else on the internet the other day & loved the way the card had been created using DSP & Card in a Mosaic way. After tracing it back to the original post, I would like to thank Kelly for sharing it her wonderful card.
This is a perfect way to use some of your DSP. You can have as many pieces of DSP or Card as you like to create your own version of the card. I decided to use just 2 pieces of DSP along with 1 coordinating Card for my mosaic. Creating your card this way, you are able to create 3 more cards using the same Card & DSP.
The Mosaic Card fits in perfectly with our Pretty Pattern Papers whereby we encourage you to use all that gorgeous DSP you have sitting in your cupboard & not a game to cut into it. Be sure to click on the link to purchase any of the tutorials available.
Don’t forget, by clicking on the link below, you are able to download a Free Tutorial to create your own card. It also includes all the supplies I’ve used plus the measurements.
Today I am going to share with you one of the items I created for my aunt who celebrated her 80th Birthday on Tuesday. I filled the box with 4 x Ferrero Rochero Chocolates – love these!
I don’t have any tutorial or measurements for you as I gave it to her on Tuesday, but I do know the box was about 3″ square & about 1 1/4″ high.
I used one of my favourite DSP’s from a couple of years ago – you may recognise it – Parisian Breeze Speciality. As Jill’s favourite colour is Pink, I teamed it up with a Shimmer Pink Card I use for my Wedding Invitations.
For the flowers, I die cut a couple of size flowers from the “Botanical Builder” Frameits, sponged them with Melon Mambo Ink & a Sponge Dauber to bring out the colour a little more. I then cut the Fern from Pear Pizazz & sponged it with Pear Pizzazz & a Sponge Dauber (not able to see it in photo). The centre was cut from Whisper White.
Be sure to pop back to see the remainder of Jill’s gifts.
Thank you once again for being so supportive with my creations. It is always a delight to receive an email saying how much you enjoy my cards & tutorials. Thank you again!
I created today’s card a couple of weeks ago & didn’t realise it hadn’t been posted.
I’ve used the lovely new “Best Birds Bundle” for my card, along with Markers which don’t get used as much as I would like. This set includes the gorgeous Stamp Set along with the “Birds & Blooms” Dies.

I sure hope you are enjoying your tutorials & using up a lot of your DSP. I know I am & it has given me a new lease of life creating with my DSP.
This month we are playing with the “Go Wild” Paper Stack. This stack retired at the beginning of the month but you can still play with the papers you have in your stash or any of the new DSP you may have purchased from the new Catalogue.
Don’t forget, along with the sketch, we have tutorials for 4 greeting cards, a list of Measurements (Metric & Imperial) plus a list of Supplies we have used for our cards.
By now you have probably gathered I have lots of lovely new “stuff” to play with. In saying that I was very restraint in placing my first order much to my dismay but happy with what I did order.
For my card today I used the Swirly Bird Bundle (pre-order) which includes the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. Gotta love it when SU! have great bundles.
You have probably guessed by now that I used the same Card Sketch I used for my card on Monday, although it does look entirely different to that layout. Amazing what can happen when you change out stamp sets & colours. I wanted to show you how to use the same sketch but get an entirely different result.
I did my Sentiment on the pc & printed it up on scrap piece of Very Vanilla. I am still looking for my “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set plus 1 or 2 Punches. No doubt they will turn up, fingers crossed!
Be sure to check back in on Friday as I have another idea using the same layout!
I’ve just had my new lounge suite delivered – very exciting as I now have something to sit on, but still have to unpack the lounge room boxes.
I saw today’s card on Pinterest some time ago & it just stayed in my mind for some reason. It could be the colours or it could of been the pleats, but anyhow I loved it. It was also a good excuse to use up some of my DSP sitting in boxes (yep, not unpacked as yet) & to remind you of our Pretty Pattern Papers . Thank you for your inspiration.
I’ve used the “Cherry on Top” DSP which was in the Occasions Catalogue, now retired, but you could change it out to a current DSP or even what you have in your “stash”.
Included in the Free Tutorial below, is a template showing you how I did my pleat. Click on the link to download your Tutorial.
