As part of my Catalogue Launch I created a couple of Gift Bags using now retired DSP & the new Triple Banner Punch.
I grabbed a couple of pieces of DSP from each Pack – Neutrals, Subtles, Brights & Regals. This way, I thought I would let my guests choose which one suited them. Each bag was filled with Chocolates & retired Product – Ribbons, Brads, etc.
To create my Banners, I teamed them up with colours that I took from the DSP & Colour Coach. I also used the “Work of Art” Stamp Set to take away the blank look of the Whisper White Banner. To close my Bags, I used the little Clothespins which I covered with matching DSP of each bag but using the opposite side.
I was really happy with theses bags & the ladies loved them. Mind you, using the new Gift Bag Punch Board makes life so much easier.
My 2nd Catalogue Launch was last Saturday with a couple of lovely ladies turning up. We had a lovely time, chatting, laughing & creating a card using “Sprinkles of Life”. I thought it would be a lot of fun to create something different to my first one as it showcases how versatile this set can be. We still stuck with a kid’s card.
I saw something similar on Pinterest a little while ago & thought it a great idea to create a card. I did change mine around a little, well a lot.
The DSP I used on this card is Pool PartyDSP from the Subtles Pack but is now retired. For the little dots I used the Rubber on the top of a Pencil with Pool party.
My card today is one we created in our Technique Class a couple of Sundays ago. It is using the gorgeous “Irresistibly Yours” DSP from the SALE-A-BRATION Catalogue which ends Tuesday, 31st March. This DSP may be earned FREE when you spend $AUD90.00 less P&H, but you will have to be quick as you only have 4 days to go.
We also used the lovely “Painted Petals” Stamp Set which is in the current Occasions Catalogue, Page 19.
With lots of sponging, stamping adding a little Button, Twine & Rhinestones you have yourself a lovely card.
Our card today is one we created in our first class for the School Holidays.
I have been asked a number of times about Card Class for Kids over the Holidays. So, after getting the numbers to be able to run these classes, we created our first card. The kids who came along (& the Mums, of course) all had a great time & absolutely loved the card, were asking when the next class was going to be.
For the time being, these will be held every Friday both morning & afternoon sessions. Please contact me if you would like to come along, as spaces are limited.
If the time comes, then the classes will be expanded to more days during the week of the School Holidays. All classes are held at the Caloundra Community Centre.
I did find the inspiration on Pinterest, but as is always the case, when you go looking for it again, you just can’t seem to find it. I did add the extended part to the card. Please let me know if you recognise it, so that I can give you the credit, but in the meantime, thank you so much for your inspiration.
I’ve had part of a card sitting in my “To Do” Basket half made. This basket is full of little bits of cards that I’ve started & couldn’t go any further so when I come across the sketch, I decided to play along, but challenge myself to use the bits & pieces of a card that I had already started & not finished.
When I saw this stamp set, an idea sort of jumped into my head on how I wanted to use it. The challenge fitted the pieces perfectly, I just had to decide on how to place a greeting/sentiment onto the card but I think I succeeded in doing that.
I’ve used the brand new, but gorgeous Spring Flowers Embossing Folder along with the Blendabilities.
Be sure to pop over to Try Stampin’ on Tuesday & see what the other cards have been created. Thanks ladies for a wonderful challenge.
