If you saw my Invitation for Simone a couple of days ago, then you will be happy to know that it didn’t stop there.
We then decided to create Place Cards for everyone as well as Tags for their little gifts as a way of saying Thank You. Simone travelled all the way home from England for her “Special Day” & this is the perfect way to catch up with close friends & family at once.
Again my “Frangipani” was created using the”Botanical Builder” Dies & sponged in So Saffron with a Sponge Dauber. The Splatter Image from “Gorgeous Grunge” was randomly stamped in Soft Sky (Beach & Sky), the font colour is Night of Navy, the Leaf is Pear Pizzazz. To finish it off, I scattered small Pearls.
The Tag was created the same as the Place Card. The small verse was printed via my Printer. The top of the Tag was punched using the “Scalloped Tag Topper” Punch. I didn’t have to add Ribbon as it was going to added later & to match in with the cake.
I even created a Birthday Card for Simone which matched in with all her Stationery, but once I find the photo, I will share it with you.
I hope you like the sharing of the Birthday Stationery today.
Last month I was asked if I could do create Birthday Invitations for a friend’s birthday. Of course, I said yes (this is my other business doing invitations). As the special party is going to be held at a beach resort I set about thinking of something fresh & beachy but not with shells, if possible.
I had the “Botanical Builder” Dies still sitting on my desk, so thought I would try & create something with them. After a little play, a light bulb went off & I turned the flowers into “Frangipanis” – well sort of & the rest just flowed from there.
Everyone loved their Invitations & Diann (Simone’s Mum) has had a lot of lovely feedback.
To see the rest of the set, be sure to check back in a couple of days.
Today is the last day of 2016 SAB! Yep, it is over for another year! I do hope you enjoyed receiving your free products during SAB! I’m not sure what was my favourite but if I was pushed, I think I would have to steer towards “Sky is the Limit” What was your favourite?
As a way of saying a huge Thank You to everyone who took advantage of 2016 SAB I created these little Thank You Cards. You may think it looks familiar & yep it does. I’ve cased it from Page 15 of the SAB Catalogue. I’ve added my own small spin onto it.
Be sure to keep an eye on the post Ladies!

Our 2nd card last Sunday was still playing with the new “Hearth & Home” Thinlits, but used in a different way. So many ideas, so little time. The ladies loved this card & thought it very different to the first one we created.
We played with our Heat & Stick Powder, along with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter by using it on our sky to create little, tiny sparkling stars. Not sure if you are able to see the shine, but when the card moves certain ways, it lights up. We also randomly scattered small Rhinestones around the card, just to give it a little more shine.
This class is going to be repeated in November, so be sure to check out the Classes/Workshops for dates & times.
In one of my classes last month we created a couple of cards for Dad or for the male in your family. They were very simple cards, but they were meant to be this way. I think with male cards we tend to try & overthink them. It is best we keep them CAS – Clean & Simple.
I stamped the engine image from “Traveler” Stamp Set onto a piece of Very Vanilla CS using Memento Black Ink. The image from “Gorgeous Grunge” was stamped either side of the engine in Crumb Cake Ink.
“Happy Father’s Day” is from “Crazy About You” Stamp Set & is stamped direct onto the same card in Memento Black Ink.
I adhered a piece of Basic Black from the Neutrals DSP to the bottom of the card before layering onto a piece of Basic Black CS & then to the Base Card – Crumb Cake.
3 Basic Black Candy Dots were adhered to the bottom left hand corner of the card.
Today’s card is a post showing you the Thank You Card I posted off to a friend a week or so ago.
It is a very simple card but with the lovely butterfly, ends up being something very special.
The butterfly has been coloured by creating a Colour Palette of Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake & Pool Party Inks, dipping a piece of Whisper White Card into the Palette & then cutting it out with the Butterfly Framelit.
I was at a loss the other day & while browsing through the new catalogue, a card from Page 104 jumped out at me. Why? I don’t really know but I loved the simple look of the finished card & thought it was a quick easy 5 or 10 minute card.
I decided to go with the same colours or near to the colours as I think – Crumb Cake, Pool Party & Soft Suede to create my card. I have slowly been going through my room & tiding up things, sorting, tossing, etc & come across a heap of Textured 12 x 12 card stock – Perfect way to use it all!
I also used a Hostess Set from the new Catalogue – Best Thoughts.
As the Butterfly Die was not available in our pre-order selection, I pulled out one that I’ve had for years & before SU!
I will admit this is not a set that has seen much ink, but hopefully in the next 12 months, it will be a set that is inked more regularly & won’t gather dust sitting on the shelf.
Don’t forget the catalogue is fantastic for inspiration & “casing”. It helps to motivate you to get your creative juices going again.
