Colouring Daisy Days with Watercolour Pencils

G’Day Friends,

We’re back with another colouring with Pencils project to share with you today.

Throughout the month of May, we’re sharing ideas on using your Colour Pencils or Watercolour Pencils with you.

Click HERE to check out Robbie’s project.

I am by no means an expert at colouring but I do like to try colouring on different mediums, eg Kraft Cardstock.  The final result is so worth it.

How my card was created –

  • Randomly stamp images direct onto Kraft Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Colour & blend with Colour Pencils until happy with the result.  Repeat if necessary
  • Add “veins” to petals with Black Marker – gives more depth & to add “veins” to petals
  • Randomly adhere die cut images to card with Dimensional Tape
  • Randomly spatter White Posca Pen to Cardstock.  Allow to dry
  • adhere to Charcoal Black Smooth Cardstock prior to adhering to White Smooth Base Card
  • Stamp sentiment direct onto White Smooth Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Fussy cut around sentiment
  • Adhere to Charcoal Black Smooth Cardstock prior to cutting around shape leaving a small amount of Black showing around sentiment
  • Adhere to card front with Dimensional Tape
  • Optinal – Apply Clear Wink of Stella to petals

Supplies –

  • Daisy Days – Paper Rose Studio
  • Black Charcoal Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Kraft Cardstock – My Stash
  • Watercolour Pencils – Stampin’ Up!

May Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

G’Day Friends,

It’s time for the Stamp ‘n Hop May Blog Hop.  This month is all about Fantastic Fun Folds which will be a lot of fun.  Be sure to follow along by clicking on the links below.

Now, I’m not sure if this fold has a name & if so, I couldn’t tell you the name.  I saw something on Pinterest a few weeks ago & now for the life of me, can’t find it again.  If you know, could you please let me know.

It is fairly easy to create, although it is a little bulky when closed.  I think if I did it again, I would certainly take a little of the bulk from inside.

Supplies

  • Hidden Creek Collection – Arden Creative Studio
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • All Occasions Sentiments – Paper Rose Studio
  • Mistsy Moonlight Cardstock – Stampin’ Up!

Until next time, Have a craft day – Vicky

Across the Waves with Colouring

G’Day Friends,

It’s a new month & that means Robbie & myself have a new theme to share with you – Colouring with Pencils or Watercolur Pencils.

Now, I am by no means an expert when it comes to colouring but I do love to colour especially with pencils.  The pencils I’ve used today are by Faber-Castell & ones that I’ve had in my stash for yonks & yonks.  I don’t even remember getting them or where.

To add even more interest I’ve added highlights with a White Posca Pen.  Love this pen for adding spatters to my projects.

Supplies

  • Floral Branch Stamp – Paper Rose Studio
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Charcoal Black Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Stitched Rectangles Dies – Paper Rose Studio
  • All Occasions Sentiment Sheets – Paper Rose Studio
  • Colour Pencils – Faber-Castell

Creating a Vellum Pocket for Across the Waves

G’Day Friends,

Today is our last share for April where it was all about showcasing our Vellum.  I will be the first to admit that my Vellum sits in a drawer outta site outta mind.  It has been heaps of fun to revisit fun ways of using our Vellum.  Give it a try!

Be sure to check out what Robbie has created today by clicking on the link.

I decided to create an easy pocket with a pull out piece if you wanted.  It could also be changed out to include a Gift Card Holder.  I would love to know how you create your pocket & for what.

Supplies –

  • Inky Splash Paper Collection – Paper Rose Studio
  • Inky Colour Embossed Die Cuts – Paper Rose Studio
  • All Occasions Sentiments Sheets – Paper Rose Studio
  • Basic White Smooth Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Charcoal Black Cardstock – Paper Rose Studio
  • Vellum – My Stash

I am really happy with the soft feel of this card, even though the die cuts are bright!  Vellum has helped tone them down a little to give that soft look to the card.

Be sure to click below to follow along how today’s card was created.
