Once again, I am playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlightswhich is so much fun. This month our theme is BABY! I will be honest & say I haven’t created a baby’s card for so long.
What is Kylie’s International Highlights? It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight. It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product. Each month Kylie has a different theme so we get to play with different product.
What is so different about this Blog Highlight?YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites. The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other talented successful demonstrators.
What do I do? All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.
Can I leave comments? Sure you can. Once you have voted, click on any picture & comment on those that you really love. You know how bloggers love to read your comments.
For my card I ended up using the stamp set “Swirly Bird” which was still sitting on my desk from when I created my cards for my “Creative Cards” class. I teamed it up with the “Colour Theory” DSP Stack, yep sitting on my desk from my Memories & More Class. Love, love, love this stack!!!!!!
There is a free tutorial on how I created my card by clicking on the link below. It gives you all the product used plus the measurements (metric & imperial).
Don’t forget to head on over to Kylie’s Blogto check out all the lovely cards that have been created & to vote for your favourites.
Today’s post is another from our Training weekend last month.
I’m a little bit happy with this card considering it has been cased from the new Catalogue but with a few changes. I will say that it was going to start out as the card on Page 10 but then was changed at the last minute & I now the card on Page 171 (sort of). Does that ever happen to you?
Don’t forget to use your Catalogues are a great source for ideas & inspiration.
We water washed a piece of Shimmery White Card with Sweet Sugarplum & Aqua Painter to get the background. Seeing it in real life shows a lovely soft shinny background.
The shapes were die cut using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits & adhered to the Card to make them look Faux Die Embossing. Another use for your Framelits, Thinlits & Punches.
If you click on the link above the photo you will be able to download the Tutorial to create your own card. I would love for you to share any cards you create using the tutorials.
November still sees us creating Christmas Cards using DSP. This month we are playing with the lovely & gorgeous “Serene Scenery” DSP Stack.
We also get to play with the “Swirly Bird” Bundle (Stamp Set & Framelits), “Reason for the Season” Stamp Set & the “Holly Berry Happiness” Bundle (Stamp Set & Punch) from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.
Included in your Tutorial is the Sketch (which may used over & over again), Instructions, List of Products & Measurements (Metric & Imperial). Throughout the month, I will be creating more cards using this lovely paper, so be sure to pop back to check them out.
We hope you will join us this month. To purchase your Tutorial, please click on the Pretty Pattern Papers Page.
I’ve used the Emboss Resist Technique on my card today. It happens to be one of the Techniques from our current Technique Treats, along with the Double Embossing Technique. I will be honest & say that this is one of my favourite techniques. All kinds of possibilities. I’ve also used the “Swirly Bird” Bundle.
I wasn’t too sure what I was going to do with the piece once I had created it, but then decided to cut it into pieces to create a Mosaic Background. I’m very happy with the card now.
For a Free Tutorial on how I created my card, please click on the link above the photo. It also includes all the supplies & measurements (Imperial & Metric).
By now you have probably gathered I have lots of lovely new “stuff” to play with. In saying that I was very restraint in placing my first order much to my dismay but happy with what I did order.
For my card today I used the Swirly Bird Bundle (pre-order) which includes the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. Gotta love it when SU! have great bundles.
You have probably guessed by now that I used the same Card Sketch I used for my card on Monday, although it does look entirely different to that layout. Amazing what can happen when you change out stamp sets & colours. I wanted to show you how to use the same sketch but get an entirely different result.
I did my Sentiment on the pc & printed it up on scrap piece of Very Vanilla. I am still looking for my “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set plus 1 or 2 Punches. No doubt they will turn up, fingers crossed!
Be sure to check back in on Friday as I have another idea using the same layout!
As the title suggests, today is a sneak peek from the upcoming NEW Catalogue which goes live Wednesday, 1 June.
I’ve used one of the new Bundles “Swirly Bird” Stamp Set & the “Swirly Scribbles” Dies along with all the new 5 In-Colours – Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekboo Peach & Sweet Sugarplum Inks. Don’t you just love the names? Believe me, you are going to love this new Bundle. So much potential.
I didn’t really know where I was going with this card, but grabbed the Aqua Painter, Shimmery White Card, the new In Colours & went to town. From here, it sort of went on its own. I must say, I am happy with the soft look of the card & very happy that I’ve managed to showcase the new In Colours.
