Berry Sweet Girl for The Paper Funday Challenge

G’Day Friends,

Once again it’s time for another Challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenges.  This month we are sponsored by Varada Sharma Designs and Whimsy Stamps who have kindly given the team a couple of Digital Stamps.  The twist for April is Things beginning with the letter “B”.

I thought the cheeky Sweet Berry Girl would give me a little challenge to get me out of my comfort zone as I am the first to admit I am not good at colouring hair.

The “footpath” has been handrawn & coloured with Copics.  The background was blended with Inks & a Blending Brush prior to adding grass to the top of the footpath with Copics.  The little girl was also coloured with Copics before being fussy cut.

The sentiment is from the All Occasions Sentiment Pack by Paper Rose Studio.

Be sure to pop over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team have created along with the entries.  Better still, why not play along with us this month by adding your link over on the blog.

Until next time, Happy Crafting

Rainy Weather for The Paper Funday Challenges

G’Day Friends,

It is once again time for another Challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The twist for March is Weather Related.

As I write this, we have a Cyclone bearing down on us just off the coast which is how my card come about.  I took the inspiration off a bright umbrella & chair sitting high up on the sand dunes this morning, looking like it was about to topple over into the waves.  I thought it funny as it was about 5am with no sun, only lots of wind & rain.

I created the “raindrops” by randomly blending a Tiny Dots Stencil over a piece of Basic White Smooth Cardstock.  I wasn’t too sure how it would work, but happy with the result.

The chair & umbrella have been coloured with Copics & taken from the colours of the ones on the beach.

Copics

  • Chair – Y04, Y08
  • Umbrella – B02, B05, BV00, BV02, R81, R83

Don’t forget to head on over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created along with the entries.  We would love to see what you can create, so please feel free to add your link too.

Until next time, Happy Crafting

Paper Funday Challenges | February

G’Day Friends,

It’s time for our February challenge over at Paper Funday Challenges.

The sponsors this month are Not 2 Shabby & Scrappy Tails.  The twist is a Colour Challenge – Burgundy, Pink & Sage Green.  I’ve gone with the Twist.

For my flowers, I used Altenew’s Rhodolite Ink which is about the closest to Burgandy I could find.  The lighter pink petal is Cherry Blossom & the leaves are Sage which are both by Pink Fresh Studio.  All colours have been blended so that they give a little variation for interest.

Be sure to pop on over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to check out what everyone has created.  Don’t forget to join in the fun by playing along with this month’s challenge.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Have a great day – Vicky

Paper Funday Challenge | January 2025

G’Day Friends,

Thank you for joining me & welcome to The Paper Funday Challenge  for January.

I am thrilled & excited to say that I am on their Challenge Team & couldn’t be happier.  For those who know me, know that I love my papers especially when I can chop them in lots of different ways.

This month, we have Pattie’s Creations & Lawn Fawn as our generous sponsors.  Yes, this is a sponsored challenge.  As part of the challenge, you need to create with one of the images from Pattie’s Creations or Lawn Fawn.  But wait, there is always a Twist & this month is Monochrome.

My card started out with the perfect size of Basic White Smooth cardstock & went from there.  Shame to waste it hey.

The paper is Simply the Best from PinkFresh Studio & perfect for males.  I had to randomly chop it into 4 pieces before adhering the pieces back into place direct onto a layer of Basic White Smooth Cardstock.

Be sure to pop on over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to check out what everyone has created & while there, join in the fun by playing along with this month’s challenge.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Have a great day – Vicky
