The Paper Funday Challenge – Changing Seasons

G’Day Friends,

Our sponsors for this month’s Paper Funday Challenge are Alex Syberia & Newton’s Nook.

I’ve gone for the twist – Changing Seasons!

Why Seasons?

Seasons mark transitions.  They’re nature’s way of reminding us that nothing stays the same forever.  From the fresh greens of spring to the cozy hues of autumn, every shift brings new moods, textures and inspirations.

The Challenge

  1. Pick a Season – Choose one that speaks to you right now.  Maybe you’re basking in summer’s brightness or craving the calm of winter.  We’re into our first days of spring down under.

  2. Paper Play – Create something that reflects that season.  It could be –

    • A snowflake for winter

    • A blooming flower for spring

    • A collage of summer sunsets

    • A leaf for autumn

How to Join –

  1. Create your project using an image from either Alex Syberia or Netwon’s Nook or go for the twist – changing seasons

  2. Upload your entry before the deadline

So grab your supplies & let’s get creating.  We can’t wait to see what you make!

Until next time – stay inspired & keep creating!

Paper Funday Challenge – Yoga Frogs & a Splash of Fun!

G’Day Friends,

This month’s Paper Funday Challenge comes with a quirky twist — 4-legged friends!  Our sponsors for August are Angie Blom Digital Designs & Not2Shabby.  I’ve gone with the  Froggy Trio Digital Stamp from Angie Blom.

Whether you’re a card maker, scrapbooker or digital crafter, we’ve packed this challenge with creativity, colour and a few fun surprises.

The Theme –

If you are opting for the twist, your project should feature four-legged friends – a huge selection to select.  Think pets, dogs, elephants, etc.  The list is endless.

Techniques to Try –

  • Colouring – Bring your images to life with vibrant colours – I’ve used Inktense Colour Pencils on my image

  • Stencils – Create rippling water effects or pond-side greenery as I’ve done on my card

  • Sponging – Perfect for soft sky gradients, underwater textures or even around the edges of your cardstock, like me

  • Digital Downloads – Be sure to check out the cute images from Angie Blom Digital Designs for your next project

How to Join –

  1. Create your project using an image from either Angie Blom Digital Designs or Not2Shabby or go for the twist – 4-legged friends

  2. Upload your entry before the deadline

So grab your supplies & let’s get creating.  We can’t wait to see what you make!

Fun with Stencils – Paper Funday Challenge

G’Day Friends,

Once again we have another challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  This month’s sponsors are Lawn Fawn & Newton’s Nook.  I went with the Twist – Fun with Stencils!

Whether you’re into clean geometric shapes or whimsical hand-cut designs, stencils are a fantastic way to add personality and precision to your paper projects.

For my take on the challenge, I grabbed some Basic White Cardstock, a fun brand new Stencil, Ink Pad & Blending Brush.  Once my stencilling was all done, I grabbed a Die that I think worked perfectly with the stencil, cut 2 different sizes in 2 colours & layered them over the top, trimming off any excess overlapping the sides.

The card was finished off by randomly adding splatters with a Black Posca Pen, layered onto Charcoal Black Cardstock & then to a Basic White Smooth Base Card.

Stencils are a low-pressure, high-reward way to experiment – perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike.  So dig out those stencils, get messy, and show us what you create!

Supplies –

  • Stacked Sentiments #1 – Paper Rose Studio
  • Stacked Sentiments #2 – Paper Rose Studio

Dry or Wet Embossing for June Paper Funday Challaenge

G’Day Friends,

The June challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenges is here.  This month we are sponsored by Pink & Main and Dare2BArtsy.  The twist is Embossing – Wet and / Dry.

For my project today, I’ve gone with the Twist – Dry Embossing and added an inked background.

Now, I am a huge fan of Embossing Folders, so it was a no-brainer for me.  I just had to dig out a brand new Folder – to me anyhow – & put it to good use.

The Embossing Folder has been inked with Chamomile Ink, embossed with White Cardstock, randomly chopped into 3 pieces prior to being layered onto Black Cardstock & then to a Coloured Base Card.

Be sure to pop over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team have created along with the entries.  Better still, why not play along with us this month by adding your link over on the blog.

Until next time, have a craft day.

CURRENT CLASSES & EVENTS

Picket Fence Studios for The Paper Funday Challenge

G’Day Friends,

It’s time for our May challenge over at The Paper Funday Challenges.  This month we are sponsored by Altenew & Picket Fence StudiosThe twist being – Celebrate Something New.

I only have a couple of stamp sets by Picket Fence Studios including the Seashells waiting to be Found which is what I went with to create my card.

Now, I will be honest & say my card is totally different to what I started out to create.  It sort of took a steep turn once the sponging had been done.  But hey, that is what crafting is all about, right?

The Shells have been coloured with Copics while the sentiment was stamped in Navy & die cut with the matching die from the Bundle.

Don’t forget to pop over to The Paper Funday Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team have created along with the entries.  Better still, why not play along with us this month by adding your link over on the blog.

Until next time, have a craft day.
